I saw them in the Sydney entertainment centre on Sept 18 2007.They were amazing.Keith Carlock adds so much to an already brilliant band.I first saw them in Dublin,Ireland on Sept 15 1996 with Ricky Lawson on drums on the art crimes tour but I reckon they were better last year.....
I was at the concert on the opposite side about the same distance from the stage. I waited with 4 other kindred strangers & we very luckily got 4 tickets at list price in the front row! None of us wanted to be extorted by the fucking asshole touts, They didn't know who was playing, tix were upwards from 250 pounds, When I got mine some hustler wide boy offered me "free hundred quid!"
Yes herbie LOL .. you should have made more effort !!! and plugged straight into the pa !!!! LOL ... do it right next time !!! or i'll send the boys around !!!! :) :)
In Lucerne two days ago they played Time Out Of Mind; Godwhacker; Bad Sneakers; Two Against Nature; Hey Nineteen; Peg; Green Earrings;Bodhisatva, Dirty Work; Josie; Aja; Kid Charlemagne and others. Unfortunatly no Deacon Blues, FM, Home at last, Janie Runaway. It was a 1 3/4 hour show. Amazing!!!!
I thought "Time Out of Mind" was a fantastic opener! What a great groove! And of course I loved Charlemagne, which is prob my fave Dan song. Pity they didn't play Deacon Blues or Black Cow!
Gilmour was there? wow amazing i went to the birmingham show on thursday the 5th it was great but to think steely and floyd are my 2 fave bands and Becker, Fagan and Gilmour in the same room HOW AMAZING
How did u get to meet Dave Gilmour? was he back stage? please get back dude. peace
I was at Birmingham too! I travelled over from Dublin and went to 2 shows. Yes, I met Gilmour after I spotted him in the lobby and followed him to his seat. I asked him for a photo, but he asked me not to so I wouldn't draw attention to him, so I gladly obliged. Pink Floyd are one of my fave bands, probably 2nd only to Steel Dan: amazing!
Saw them Brussels 9th July. Special trip. What's interesting is the set changes gig to gig. Hardly surprising I suppose. Deacon Blues & lots off Aja. 2 hours in total. Missed many of my favourites; Doctor Wu, Do It Again, Bodhisativa. But,I saw them after 30 years of wanting to! Tears through some - thats my (and your?) adolescence!
Aja simply fabulous live. Finished with My Old School. Did they do Reelin'for anyone? Can let you have the whole running order. Maybe should see more tour dates!!
Time Out Of Mind; Godwhacker; Bad Sneakers; Two Against Nature; Hey Nineteen; Haitian Divorce; Peg; Home At Last; Green Earrings; Dirty Work; Josie; Chain Lightning; Aja; Kid Charlemagne; FM; My Old School
The Brum show was only about 1.5 hrs long. A 2hr Dan show is still far too short though. :0) They played Bodhisatva at Brum too. Had I known they would change up the set list from show to show I would have taken in more shows. I just hope there's a next time. What an awesome band. Tears for me too! :D
Great Video.. Thats one of the best close-ups of Fagen I've ever seen. Love it..
Saw them at Beacon Theater NY NY tonight (Sept 22, 2011) Awesome show !!
They Finaled with Kid Charlegmagne Daniel NYC

A song about the most prolific LSD maker in the history of the United States. Such a great tune. Steely rules.

I don't get it - are you saying the video is good, or shit? Sometimes people fall victim to their own sarcasm.

Great stuff! I was there too, came down near the front at the end - standing dancing next to Sir Paul McCartney, who was loving it!

I know, I know - what an amazing gig. And I even met David Gilmour beforehand!

Wow - sweet! Macca cleared off pretty sharpish during the encore, which was a shame, wanted a pic!!
I thought 2vN was the highlight for me!

Indeed. Not much off the latest album either. I would have loved more 2vN songs - Jack of Speed, Negative Girl etc!

"Gaslighting Abbie" & "Everything Must Go" would have been sweet too! But I guess they're not gonna play anyone's idea of a 'perfect' setlist!
