The lights do create a unique feeling of immersion in the game as you are focused on the screen but the whole space in the room is joining in which is what makes it so good. Hard to experience purely on video but great for real. I'm with amBX btw and we're very pleased how these have turned out.
@neilsmacdguy Could you tell me why the main wallwasher of the old amBX set is strobing randomly? My brother has the same set and he has this problem too. My support forum was deleted so i though i would ask it here. Its a pitty because i really love the system. I just turned of the main wallwasher but i miss the light. Thanks in advance!
@vdv00rt I have the same problem as I got two sets of them. Sucks that they aren't supported anymore and will completely drain a typical system of resources. BUt yea, the strobing. Mine will do it for a while till it warms up and then I'll notice that it's actually missing a color and not be the same color as it's towers. I've had to hide it. I don't think you're going to find a solution.
@wyoonthefirst Hey what do you mean with draining the resources? Is it that heavy? I still use the towers now and i turned off the wallwasher. Im thinking of buying this: adafruit . com /products/461 (without spaces) DIY kit to 'replace' the main wallwasher. Maybe this would be a solution for you too?
@neilsmacdguy Tell your bosses to lower the damn price friend! lol
In any case, I've read a few reviews about these and they say they're pretty cool (which I agree), but might be a bit on the soft side when it comes to lums, and of course there's the price point...
@Bliddrey I see your problem, i have the old set and you can easily turn down the brightness. The problem with these videos is that you focus too many on the lights and that the camera doesnt capture the light as you would see them normally. Mostly the videos are too bright. Anyway, i can higly recommend this system to everyone, just make sure you it in action in reallife.
Yep, and you even can add more sets for a bigger room as well.

Theyre really cool but for 100 bucks they really aren't worth it

The changing in light is too sensitive for me, doesn't look 'realistic'. Nevertheless a very cool piece of tech!
