@ryanathan2 No, if you try it will blow up in your hand.....the pressure in the 454 is about 55000. The cylinder of the specific model for loading 454 is beefed up to handle this load.

I'd personally take the Governor over the Judge. Only because it can shoot .45ACP, i dont think i'd ever shoot .454 for where i live and what i do. But if it were to be a trail gun for me, i'd pick the judge because of the .454...I dont really care who makes it, as long as its quality, i'll buy it.

There was a doctor at the range today that told me shooting a 454 out of a < 6" barrel will break 4-5 metacarpals in your wrist for each box of rounds . He could have been blowing smoke but who knows .......
