Yes,this song holds very powerful memories for me. I would listen to it before track meets in junior high school. I lived in Southern MN. I had this album on cassette (yes, I'm a dinosaur). I remember it fondly, especially as I pondered how foreign acts lose their accents when singing in English.

I remember that Bon Jovi had a hand in getting them signed to Mercury. I think JBJ introduced them to Desmond Child, too. That's why this album sounds a bit like New Jersey/Keep the Faith.

Gorky Park visited my high school in Denver back in 1989 when the Cold War was beginning to thaw. The band really impressed us with their thoughts about peace and respect between both countries. Thank you for posting this video. Many of you will never have the pleasure of meeting such fine people who showed a terrified teenager that the Russians (Soviets) were just as scared as us and wanted peace just as bad.

Singer is Nikolai Noskov & he has continued on & is quite the star still to this day in Russia. One of my fave vocalists - I've been listening since '89! I've done a bit of research & found a bunch of his stuff here, try using the Russian spelling: Николай Носков. Hope that helps. (I also have a lot of his videos in my faves here)
