Just because it makes sense to you, doesn't mean it has to make sense to me. Her appearing in a TV show has no connection to her music at all and it doesn't change her as a person. She is more of an artist than an entertainer, but if some guy at a party asked me to be a robot on a tv show, and earn lots of money, like hell I would refuse.
