If SOPA is passed by congress the blame should be largely placed upon Google. Even though they present themselves to be against it with Google being the largest internet destination in the world the lobbying power they maintain among our law makers is enormous. Even though lobbying is unethical to begin with Google has enough influence on the subject that their stance on the debate would drastically effect the outcome. Meaning if SOPA goes through, Google should be in large part held responsible
@xInstinctful then dont read it, you ninny, its individuals such as yourself that don't want to be educated or aware of anything. im posting facts and opinion on a topic that is of high importance and relevance with the internet as a whole, so carry on with your life, ignorant peon. I have something to say, if you do not care about things that affect your life that is your problem, but do not downplay those who do wish to make a difference.
when really they are much more on your side in defending your liberty then most people are willing to be. And "anonymous" is not a certain group of people, being anonymous is an idea, a mindstate, and it is sad that anyone out to protect and fight for their own freedom must conceal themselves due to fear of retaliation from those which which to take your freedom. This is why they receive a bad rap on corporate controlled television and news networks. Also in regards to SOPA,
In no way have they done anything to harm people, but the corporations were their target. They simply denied access to corporate controlled ip's and in no way did they enact any malicious actions towards clients of the ip's. In theory, this is a digital form of boycott which makes a statement to corporations much as the Boston Tea Party was intended to do over 200 years ago. A "hackers" sole intentions is to infect with malicious code. On television these people are depicted to be bad guys
is in one way or another owned or affiliated with a corporation, everything on television is controlled, but the internet, now thats a whole different medium of information that cannot be so easily controlled, but it seems that they are working on that with SOPA. Also, Anonymous is a group of individuals who do what they do all in the interest of protecting liberty and freedom of ideas and choice in this country. The are not necessarily "hackers" this is just the picture painted of them on tv.
Every young person today it seems is literally brainwashed into a lifestyle of jersey shore, ipads, war, and overall consumption, hardly production. And just a terrible waste of human potential, all so we can remain ignorant to what is going on around us. But it gives me hope in seeing this video that not every young person is socially retarded. I encourage everyone to educate themselves, for knowledge is power, and the greedy bastards in charge here know this. Remember everything you see on tv
Our government has become a parasite on the american people and it is robbing them of their futures, and any hopes of success and advancement economically or socially. All for the sole intention of creating a power gap which is already evident ( 1% of the american population owns 50% of its financial assets TODAY) In a true free market that statistic would NEVER exist. And hardly anyone seems to notice because american society has deteriorated into encouraging self-destructive behavior. Very sad
Many people ask what can they do to protect their own liberties? The answer lies in our history, the american revolution (the first one not the second one yet to come). Colonists found british taxation to be unfair and the tariffs on products and the control of the colonies industry was just absurd to the colonies. So we decided to revolt in the form of boycott (i.e Boston Tea Party) For much of the same instance we must do the same to our government and corporations if we ever want change.
We will be no different from the chinese people, controlled, controlled controlled. Dependent peoples upon their government when the constitution of the united states was originally drafted every aspect of it is to protect american citizens from what our power hungry government has become today, the government should be for the people by the people government should depend upon its citizens, not vice-versa. A nation founded upon freedom operates constitutionally, our forefathers would be ashamed
The inflation that happens to our money, the tax breaks given to corporations, the varying of interest rates, and then bailouts when their wallets get skinny. Our federal government plays hand in hand with corporate greed and the devaluing of every americans dollar, just look into the federal reserve and how they distribute paper money, they are crooks clear as day. Eventually if our country continues on the path we are on we will become so dependent on our government for economic stability..
The thieves being american citizens, taxpayers. Nothing is mentioned about wanting to control what you see or hear, its all about money though at the end of the day. Giant international corporations are just taking such huge losses in their pocketbooks that someone has to stand up for them. My question is who is defending the american citizens? It's sure not our politicians, no politician seems to mention the detrimental nature of the federal reserve/central banking system.
When you consider the the terms in which SOPA is presented you immediately begin making comparisons to china/north korea, communists states which partake in censorship on every level. Their reasons for censorship are slightly different then in the U.S, china/N.K censor things from their public for socioeconomic reasons, if you can CONTROL what people see, think, and believe you can then CONTROL economic and industrial trends. The U.S is trying to claim it is to protect corporations from thieves
It makes me quite happy to see your interest on the subject keith, its very important indeed and all americans should be aware of what their government is doing to them, quite blatantly stripping americans of their civil liberties all in hopes of putting more money in the pockets of corporations. The United States is nothing more then a welfare state with all the politicians wrapped around the fingers of corporatism. Sorry about the long comments bro but SOPA is where we need to draw the line.
