@hatedagreat1 If what you struggle with is the theology, try reading C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity, or Tim Kellers the Reason for God. Both of those books do a phenomenal job explaining why we believe what we believe. But nothing beats just getting knee deep in actual scripture. I'm sure you can find someone who would be glad to lend you a bible. If you are serious about it, don't hesitate. These are big questions and big answers. Eternity is a long time man. And God does Love us all.
I wanted to kill myself 2 weeks ago. before I admitted myself in the hospital I talked to my cousin who's a youth pastor an he told me whats brought me here. I understand everybody needs somebody. I personally just started to pick up a bible a few weeks ago an am 22. Maybe the deeper i get the more it will make sense. But I "hate" the fact I get crucified for not understanding. I'm trying daily reading john, reading genesis, the revelation part is what kills me. how the bible tells EVERY other belief they go to hell for what they believe in. its great that you realized that your'e important and loved by our father jesus christ, and since your'e still struggling with old ways, id recommend reading god's word but don't just skim the verses, every time you come upon important scripture, try to ask yourself what you would do in a certain situation; i got this info from a pastor from nashville, TN and it changed my view on how to really follow god

Just because someone can rap about God & know scriptures doesnt make them a Christian. Being a Christian you have 2 live the way the bible says to live, yeah people mess up, no one is perfect but asking for forgiveness is the key but you've 2 ask 4 forgiveness & change, not ask 4 forgiveness then go back 2 what you were doing.
