For what it's worth, I'm glad HD is no longer IN THE WAY of Buell motorcycles. The hell with HD - they're just a bunch of corporate sellouts who know NOTHING of the true spirit of American entrepreneurship. Let all the idiots out there keep buying overpriced HD JUNK. I just bought a used Buell and I couldn't be happier. Erik - you do outstanding work! There are MANY of us who will continue to support you! We're all here waiting for your next great products!
yes it was stupid to cut Buell, every other motorcycle manufacturer has both cruisers and Sport Bikes, why would HD want any less? Yes there is a lot of competition in sport bikes but I dont think the Buell brand was promoted enough. Buells had some great features,
Harley hasn't had a GREAT bike since the FXR Mr. Erik Buell designed. Harley's aren't as bad as people think, but they sell more on image than advancement and let marketing take over too much.
2000 X1 Lightning owner.. Love the bike, the motor sucks ass. Planning on a 1125R next year. I like the part were erik says HD will offer support and parts. My local dealer told me they don't work on buell's.. The dumb shits could not even cross reference a fucking oil filter.
dear MR. buell ... i will make it my job in life to go buy a buell ASAP ..
and i will try my best to do my part to keep your name and your companys name
on the street ,, i have test drove some of your bikes and was putt off by how low on HP and tourq thay are compared to say a suzuki SV ,, at that time i didnt understand ,, but now i do .. and if u come back plz nuthin less than 160 bhp 160 KG
America will never forget Buell Motorcycles , the engineering and perfection will always stand out in the crowd. Yes HD just shot there selves in the foot by losing there young demographic. I know that the economy is tough and companies are forced to make tough decisions but this one hurt badly. Harley Davidson now to me is nothing but a set of noisy pipes and an old dusty name for obese beard wearing alcoholics and pill poppers.
HD are becoming as bad as GIBSON Guitars. Stupid, arrogant decisions made by businessmen who have no idea about what the roll on effects of such actions are. They only care about the BRANDNAME not the machines. They see HD as having more BRAND EQUITY so kill off Buell. Gee, I know which one I'd rather own.....but now I will never have that opportunity. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!
I believe that Buell will be a mass market brand again when the economy fully recovers. I'm sure some investor group will want to give it a go. Keep the brand alive Erik!!!
Aight Erik it's time to rise from the Ashes of the HD BS and put heat in AMA SBK and start to remarket American Sportbikes without any HD corruption to them. I tell you what as time goes by and if the 1190 does well, I would love to see a Erik Buell/MJM partnership now that would be an amazing American Team right there.
While Buell ultimately failed as a mass market venture, it represents great American engineering. The passion that was embodied in the small company is evident from the video, I'm proud to own one.
You can just see the sorrow and passion in his eyes...luckily he can direct this energy to his racing efforts! Never met him but love him and his efforts.
instead of beating on Harley Davidson maybe you all should look east to DC.. the economy stinks...businesses failing left and right. put the blame where it belongs ....your President, your congressmen and your senators....
From CNN: "But after expanding exuberantly in the last decade, Harley has fallen on hard times. Now it is struggling against a foe that not even cost-cutting nor brand loyalty can overcome: demographics. Its current owners are getting old, and not enough younger ones are coming up behind them". So HD thinks that killing Buell, a company who appeals to the younger demographic, is a smart idea? Idiots. Did you not learn from the 70's when your were getting smoked by the Jap's?
I cant believe this! Buell is the most coolest bike in this world, especially xb series. No needed to tune something, all is done already Just sit in it and drive
Why they would pull the plug will baffel me. I own two of the most head turning motorcycles on the street my Firebolt XB9r and the new 1125r. these bikes are in a class of there own, just to be able to keep up with those JAP bikes in the turns on my xb9, and pass them, or blow by them on my 1125r, giving them a heart attack induced by that raw, heart pounding sound. this isnt the last you seen of Erik Buell, no way. keep with the rotax brother... you build- i buy!!!!!!
I'm big into BUY AMERICAN, but HD is one American product that I will NEVER buy. I'm looking into buying a used Buell. My brother bought an '08 1125R and he loves it. Beautiful bike with incredible technology.
I feel so bad for Erik Buell, who has built up his dream over the years, only to have it killed by bean counters and know-nothing execs at HD. You can't keep a good man down though. Ride on Erik.
Yeah. The harley leadership are a bunch of dirt bags. A year ago after returning from a tour in afghanistan I was fired for asking a supervisor why nothing could be done to remove employees that were not doing their job. His response was that the UNION cept Harley-Davidson from correcting such issues. When I named some scenarios that had happened in the plant and asked further why something couldnt done about it I was fired. A year later H-D had me sign a buy out not to continue to seek my job.
Furthermore, after having watched the Buell legacy build over the years, one thing is certain. Erik Buell just doesn't seem to die easily. I've got a funny feeling this aint over yet, God willing.
I bought my first Buell last summer, an '07 XB12Stt with 4500 miles. At first it was a fun bike, until I fell into lust with it. I will rebuild and rebuild and rebuild this bike until the day I die, even if I have to custom-machine my own parts due to a dead supply line. HD, go back to catering to the fat slob crowd. You never should've stuck your nose in in the first place. I will never own a Harley product, solemn oath. Fuck you.
Erik Buell you are my hero, you truly are a god among men. The head of any other motorcycle company would never take the time to put together a video like this for all of us riders. You also had the balls to not only take on all of the motorcycle giants, but succeed. Harley Davidson will come to regret this decision and eventually realize all that you and your small team have done, I can only speak for myself but I am sure I am not alone when I say thank you and a job well done.

Screw Harley Davidson for their ass-backwards thinking. Buell was the best product that Harley could have. Those riding mowers that look nastalgic are only going to sell for so long. Harley's business model just got trampled too on MSN money. When the last of the baby boomers
First off "overdosestunts" your a dumb shit, SHUT the F**K up no one whats to hear your opinion! Secondly, I love my Buell and wish Erik all the best. Hope to see you making bikes for the public again. As for HDMC pretty sure I'll never own one of their piles of crap.
ive ridden all my life...had dozens of bikes including Harley...my buell thunderbolt is the finest world class bike ive evert owned...itll go to the grave with me....Thankyou erik buell for your fine vision and inpiration....all respect...live to ride...ride to live....we will see you on the next adventure....!!!
Buell was my first bike and I loved it! Thank you Erik for bringing a unique and different product to the market, I wish there have been more company leaders like you!
@OverDoseStunts is that you riding that junk bike in the video on your page.. holyshit how old are you why are you so angry with BUELLS? probably cause you get blown by, by them queer bag
Very sad. It was nice to have an American motorcycle company that ENGINEERED things; my heart goes out to you.
I had the dream of waiting for Buell to finish their engineering and produce something equivalent to the Japanese or Italians, but now we'll never see the day. You're a man of another caliber, Buell. Keep on keepin' on :)
Perhaps the most painful ... but it was not his first fall, get up and keep in mind that: "The only hand that helps is the tip of your arm." and re-accelerate.
HD tapped my arse when my X1 blew with only 7800 km on clock. Gearbox siezed, primary chain broke = total destruction. HD would not honor warranty until I got consumer affairs involved. Got it fixed, still got it, never selling it. NEVER BUYING A HD CRUISER. HD are arse holes, Period. Take that to your marketing dept Willy G u fuckwit.
Owning a harley is like being in a religious cult! I'm not into cults, I'm into motorcycling! I'm trying to find a way to work a 2010 Buell XB-12Ss into the budget. This just shows how stupid harley really is. Buell riders and lovers need to stick together! Let's find a way to help Erik like he helped us. America can do it!
Thanks white trash harley...another dumb mistake!
I will have a big shot of JD the day Harley goes bankrupt. I will laugh my butt off. You will deserve the day your long greasy beards get tied into knots...
What? Are you kidding? HD doesn't make $1000 on every Buell sold? Listen you backward assed cavemen called HD. Do you realize that Buell has just won the AMA Pro-Championship? Hello? This is like finding a 50 carat diamond and crunching it into pieces with a 50 cent rusty hammer. A broken company, a broken man. You can kiss your Harley Davidson iron on the pipes since I will never buy another one as long as I live. You just tossed your own into the flames...
I still love my S2 Thunderbolt after all these years! And I am very glad I sold all my stock in Harley-Davidson! How myopic can HD corporate be to sell it's unofficial R+D department?!? My Thunderbolt still gets questions and comaraderie at traditional "biker" bars!! And I will never buy an ElectraGlide!
Find a way, Erik. Maybe you don't need that dysfunctional HD corporate group after all...
buell has been my fav. bike when i first saw the firebolt. i just got a buell 08 firebolt xb12 i love it , i thanks buell for making the best sports bike out there i live 35 min where the HQ is and all ways have to stop by when i am driving past it
im buying a used xb12 next month and will maintain it forever i refuse to buy into the jap crap stuff thats whats wrong with america nothing is made hear anymore thats why theres no jobs. i cant afford a harley and wouldnt buy one anyway but i liked erik buell's bikes good bye to another american company!
This was really a shitty decision by h-d they screwed the pooch in the amf years and now cutting off Buell WTF were they thinking??? YOU LISTINING WILLIE G ???
This is very sad. A great American icon is dead, but not forgotten. I went out and bought a XB12scg about a month ago upon hearing this devastating news. Erik looks and sounds crushed about this, but I hope he can bounce back from this major blow like he has done before in the past and continues making kick ass bikes for real riders.
on the other hand my selling price for my m2 just went up.. and see what happens when a little guy try's to team up with a bigger company.. the small guy gets shit on. harley really made there name look bad in my eyes.. i will not buy one now..
I am sadden to hear about this, It sucks that the people will be laid off because of this. I really wanted a Buell XB12R , XB9R ( discontinued in 03? ) I think HD really screwed Buell big time, they are still living in the past and need to look at the Japanese bikes and build bikes that the people want. Also HD bought MV Agusta for 100+ Million yet they couldn't put that money towards building a better Buell? This really pisses me off...
I cannot believe that Buell isn't making bikes anymore. I truly think they had the best bike on the road for true Motorcycling. Fun, affordable, forward thinking, and just awesome..... F' Harley Davidson for snuffing them out. I personally will be buying that XB9SX I've wanted to years.
NO, NO, NO you can't, you can't close,! I've been saving for one for years! The money I use to buy cigarettes with goes in my buell can! I want to buy one next summer! I want it to be new! NO, NO, NO! Promise me Erik you'll teach Harley how to make them! Sell them you're jigs! Please! Please! I beg you!
Shame on HD, they did not have to kill the brand. I have always hated Harleys for the shit tin piles of crap they are, now my hate is reinforced by their piss poor business ethics. Just as I became interested in the Buells -being the 1125CR with its Rotax engine - HD go and kill it off. F-WITS!!!
cant believe that harley would discontinue the one thing that they did right. they finally had something nice with the 1125r, mabye not the other buells but damn this could have been harleys chance to reach the sportbike world. sales would go up with time i mean how many american sportbikes are out there none just takes some time to reach ppl. this could have been the way to brigde the gap between harley vs sportbike. wtf were they thinking.
Buell's already coming back! He will continue to build race bikes to start, and parts based on the 1125r (see the Buell site). It's a start- let's hope he continues this ambition to rebuild the entire company!
I would be crying too! I was discontinued from my Passionate Buell Specialist job for other reason after 1 year, 3months in California before this happened in August. He is back and passionate to keep the Buell brand and the True American sportbike/superbike alive with Erik Buell Racing! Long Live Buell and my Buell 1125CR!
I'm bothered by the comment about winning the 2009 AMA race - especially when talking about "against larger factory-backed teams"
Their team was factory-backed too. they were racing 600cc bikes. Bullshit by any viewpoint. Put anyone on a 1200cc bike against a rider of equal skill on a 600 & the outcome is obvious.
They should be ashamed they won only by .068
... and google "Buell recalls" there are some pretty scary mistakes coming out of the factory.
Poor. But i only really liked the S1 Lightning. That was DIVINE FURY, shouldn't have changed the design. Oh well, another manufacturer will come along and break new ground like Erik did.
I just thought I would pass this on to all you buell suckers. All buell riding gear is being blown out at your local hd dealers. The dealers paid 90 % off of dealer cost. get this crap while its hot. The sooner its gone the sooner I don't have to look at it.
Erik, this is a very sad day for you, your dedicated employees and everyone who enjoys riding spirited motorcycles. I've ridden the your XB12X and enjoyed the wonderful, intuitive handling and comfortable seating position. If I was in charge of H-D, my choice would have been to reward you and your people by creating Buell dealerships. While I am grateful that H-D supported your racing efforts, they did not serve you well as a sales network. I hope you will remember 2009 with fondness.
Your bikes will be missed. Freakin sucks man. Buell bikes are so original, and great bikes. I was actually looking forward to my day of purchasing a Buell. God.... this sucks.....Im actually pissed off..........
Just one more reason to dislike Harley-Davidson. That company has become a caricature, just like many of the people who ride them. Harley to me is nothing more than a marketing machine that sells an image. Funny how riding a Harley was considered rebellious, edgy and non-conformist. It was about being unique and marching to the beat of a different drum. What's so unique about Harley riders now? They all look alike and dress alike and you can't tell one bike from another. Lame.
Just for thought. This one need a BAIL OUT, So it can go on. Like a New Bikes (BUELL) for Clankers, Trade your old bikes in, and Just may be, just maybe. I dont want to take My Buell to HD service department Any more. Any of you can Guest on My first 1000 miles check up.
Great H-D mistake. A brand that lives on riders passion and history could not throw away such a piece of bike's history. I was saving money to buy a brand new Buell next summer, hope I still can do it. Hope all Buell people can go on and H-D somehow will support them. Personally I'll not buy even a wallet with the H-D brand. If somebody wants an H-D, buy an used one. They don't deserve your money. Maybe if everybody does it they still can change their mind.
Harley made a poor financial mistake that will cost them far more in the coming years than the "capital gain" they received now from discontinuing the Buell line. Harley wanted to regain focus on making "American" bikes so they felt this was the best option. Nothing is more American than Buell. Harley could not sell Buell because Buell would probably become their new competitor, so they had to kill the brand. A sad sad event in motorcycle history.
Mr. BUELL you have the best Team in your work factory. Loyal and Dedicated. hopely When Guys come back, Hire the same TEAM (People), to Build your BUELL. Untill then, and this time, can you guys make a jacket that match my Bike. Thank you again To ALL BUELL workers and to your Family may The Sprit Of Warm Holliday came to you ALL.
If tomorrow all the things were gone....I worked for all my life....and I had to start again, with just my children and my wife....I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today...cause there's pride in every American heart and it's time for me to saaaaaaaay.....
THEY HAVE TO CLOSED DOWN THE WHOLE INTER STATE TO HAVE A RALLY RIDE FOR THIS ONE. I never came to one, When I have my HARLEY but I will now for my BULL. SUPPLY and DEMAND.
I hate this I was planing on getting a XB12 as soon as I finished college but not I might not be able to cause he did say there was a limit of bikes...But heres what I think will happen Buell was the only US sportbike company right? He will join with Victory and continue making bikes....hopefully :)
Terrible news to hear about Buell. I just want to say that my dad purchased an new '08 1125R this summer and let me tell you this bike is amazing. There is no other bike that sounds as amazing and aggressive like this bike does and no other bike with the power like it. The bike is so incredible to ride and sets itself out from the pack from its unique looks, technologies, and sounds fromt he aggressive engine. Buell rider forever
I just got the news and I am sick. I have lusted after a Buell for a long time. Only Erik could have taken an engine, who's design rests squarely in the 1950s and make it a world class sport bike. As history has shown, Harley Davidson is a poor business partner when it comes to its "other" brands. It is a bad time to be in the motorcycle business all around. I just hope that Eric lands on his feet and continues his free thinking ways.
I'm a new "Bueller" - Bought an '07 XB9R a few months ago. I just heard this news over the last few weeks and I just couldn't believe it. I'm in love with this bike... it's by far the best handling bike I have ever ridden
It's been an adventure since I got my Buell. With or without the company producing new motorcycles, I think it will remain a powerful name in the motorcycle industry. It feels good to say I'm a proud owner of a Buell.
THIS SUCKS!! I love my 2001 X1 Lightning. too bad not enough people know what they're missing by not being on a Buell. I have a 2003 Yamaha R1 too but, the Buell is my baby! There's nothing better than that sound and power of that bike. The R1 is smooth and fast but, they're a dime a dozen. It doesn't stand out in a crowd but, EVERYBODY looks when I roll up on the Lightning!!
In August 2008 I fell in love with the xb12s, watched countless Buell videos on YouTube featuring the bike then bought an '08 in the winter of this year. Once the Ohio winter was over, I was finally able to get it on the road & I have had a blast ever since. I cant even imagine parting with it. Had scheduled vacation to visit the Buell factory. I know the Buell closing isn't the end of the world, but this truly does suck !!!
just came out in our AMC magazine that Harley bought MV Augusta for $ 118 mill last year. Who the hell is expanding in world worst recession since 1930??
Only idiots. It must be undeserved punishment for Eric to work for HD after they chopped him off. I just hope he will mentally survive. Was saving too to get one next year. Chin up, Eric you got lot of friends , mate.
What horrible news; I feel terrible for Mr. Buell and his team. I'd have seriously considered buying a Ulysses XB12XT one day; I'm a new rider though and need to hone my skills a bit. Sad news.
The most heartfelt video with a strong message, I will indeed continue to ride my 1125r with pride and passion here in Western Australia. There's nothing like riding a Buell! May the trilogy of Tech live on with every Buell as they like the rest of us get older. Thanks Erik. Stand with pride my friend, same goes for all that have poured their life into these indeed innovative machines.
Please don't forget, this is "the man" who designed the most beloved Harley-Davidson FXR! The best handling Harley ever, for those of you who think badly about this man and you have an FXR or a newer bagger... You owe him your thanks!
Great 'Legendary' Man with Great 'Legendary' ideas !
The Man Who Designed and build some of the best handling bikes with innovations that Japs will never have balls to build !
Unfortunatly H&D had to Fuc* up everything again, as they did when they have not alloved to use or experiment with new 'porshe' desighn engine, that could make Buell not only be remembered for being 'radical' but as well for being succesfull racing maschine around the world, not only U.S.& A.
There are some rumors, that Volkswagon will be interested, but not sure. Hopefully, Buell will be saved and can continue developing his innovative bikes.
Hopefully they will sell it so it can continue. It is ready to build ans sell. It is not like the new buyer would have to design a new motor or frame. It us there. Just keep building and sell. I cannot believe h D would not want to make 100,000,000 or 200,000,000 selling it.
Eric, you brought the V-engine to the 20th century and your bikes are made to be ridden not to be posed!
Never had -and I had a lot- and still have a better bike than my Thunderbold and now I know two things - never to give the T-bolt away and never buy a Harley. All the best to you and your guyes form Germany
Erik and the Elves at the factory. Fantastic job over the last twenty five years. I think you will be back. The best motorcycle I hav ever owned, and I have owned over 50 different motorcycles of all brand. I love the looks, the feel, the handling, and the awesome torque. Many good miles in the saddle, and with good friends. May we always have our homecoming events. Rex
As a PROUD Buell rider I am deeply saddened to see the demise of the company. And having met Erik Buell and seeing his dedication to and love of the product that bares his name. I think it was a horrible mistake. And as Harley Davidson continues to lose money, I think they will eventually agree. And I do know this. I'm never getting rid of my Buell.
The buell bikes wouldn't be as bad as they are if Erik had more time to work the kinks out. There is one tragic flaw that not even someone of his intelligence could fix. I am ofcourse speaking of the inside the box thinkers that buy his bikes. He should have stayed on the track with them. He had no business putting them into production. They won't stand the test of time. Period. A fellow tech just replaced an 1125r motor with 800 miles on because the customer "changed the oil". MOTOR DONE
Well the shoe fits. Your cool riding gear consists of what? A scull cap, some sunglasses, assless chaps and some Made in China shirts and boots? Oh yea, those cool vests with the HOG patches on them, forgot about that.
I was merely mentioning the Buell riding gear for all you in the box thinkers out there. Trying to help you save some money on gear to then spend on your repairs.
Damn, sucks to hear. I had a 98 X1 up till about a year or 2 ago. Regret selling now. It was such a fun little bike. It was a mule to ride for long trips. Every part of me hurt, but totally worth it for the fun factor. I did a half day ride from Austin down to Bandera not too long ago. What a blast.
you know something retard i aint even going into my time served as a mechanic cos you aint worth it...Apart from the fact you just aint funny !!! you sadly think you are..... You aint 11 years old are you ???? NOW FUCK OFF.... i AM A BUELL OWNER PROUD OF IT AND CANT BE ARSED WITH COCK HEADS LIKE YOU who needs to seriously get out more.. I will not be goaded into another reply whatever you write however a meet will go down well...Believe me son you are playing with the wrong toys here..
I was hoping to get my hands on an 1125R , Now it looks like that will never happen . Sad day when I heard about this . Surely something can be done to bring this company back . How about ditching Harley all together and going it alone with the new engine manufacturer Rotax ? I think Harley got what they wanted and gave Erik the shaft when he delivered ! What a shame .
Fuck innovations...
i've never ridden one but have always loved the look of buell's and have a couple of friends who love them. i'd never consider buying a HD but i would a buell. i hope this guy keeps involved in designing bikes as i think he has a lot to offer
It's sad to see a brand that builds interesting and innovative machines which set them apart from others end, while HD will no doubt go on making decidedly old fashioned machines.
I felt so sad when I saw this. The mistake was going in with harley dealers.I was interested in buying one,I ride triumph now.I went into a harley dealer, god what a mistake! What a bunch of up their own ass elitist fat balding beer gutted elitist(sic) no hopers. Sad thing is there are NO bikes that I want in the harley range. That may not apply to america, but here in the uk it does.
AAAHHHHHH Here I am finally financially able to buy a new bike. FUCK YOU HARLEY. The company won't exist in 10 years.

Why they would pull the plug will baffel me. I own two of the most head turning motorcycles on the street my Firebolt XB9r and the new 1125r. these bikes are in a class of there own, just to be able to keep up with those JAP bikes in the turns on my xb9, and pass them, or blow by them on my 1125r, giving them a heart attack induced by that raw, heart pounding sound. this isnt the last you seen of Erik Buell, no way. keep with the rotax brother... you build- i buy!!!!!!

Just one more reason to hate HD.

Erik, if you build it, we will come.

This really pisses me off...

cant believe that harley would discontinue the one thing that they did right. they finally had something nice with the 1125r, mabye not the other buells but damn this could have been harleys chance to reach the sportbike world. sales would go up with time i mean how many american sportbikes are out there none just takes some time to reach ppl. this could have been the way to brigde the gap between harley vs sportbike. wtf were they thinking.

Lame.

SuperDude1973 2 years ago 2
Harley made a poor financial mistake that will cost them far more in the coming years than the "capital gain" they received now from discontinuing the Buell line. Harley wanted to regain focus on making "American" bikes so they felt this was the best option. Nothing is more American than Buell. Harley could not sell Buell because Buell would probably become their new competitor, so they had to kill the brand. A sad sad event in motorcycle history.

The best motorcycle I hav ever owned, and I have owned over 50 different motorcycles of all brand. I love the looks, the feel, the handling, and the awesome torque. Many good miles in the saddle, and with good friends. May we always have our homecoming events. Rex

I GOT AN IDEA BUELL GOKARTS
chopped4life 2 years ago
As a PROUD Buell rider I am deeply saddened to see the demise of the company. And having met Erik Buell and seeing his dedication to and love of the product that bares his name. I think it was a horrible mistake. And as Harley Davidson continues to lose money, I think they will eventually agree. And I do know this. I'm never getting rid of my Buell.

Bought an 09 XB12Ss in April. Can I get a retroactive rebate? Then I could use that $5K to buy a second one.
Love my Buell.
Buell is for riders who don't feel the need to do 170MPH on the highway. Twisted roads are where the fun is.

MOTOR DONE

This makes me want to eat my head. As an owner of a Buell S2 and someone who was thinking about an 1125R this really upsets me.
I would love to see him do something like HD did when it bought it's self from AMF.
I would love to see them return without any ties to HD.
Erik you make GREAT bikes. Please say it does not end here. I am keeping my S2 forever.

With no hd ties, you don't have a powerplant of parts for your beloved s2.

I guess you didn't see the South Park episode did you? FAG

Again with the name calling? Or were you signing your name to this? I was trying to help your kind out with some hideous riding gear.
thankgodtheyregone 2 years ago
Well the shoe fits. Your cool riding gear consists of what? A scull cap, some sunglasses, assless chaps and some Made in China shirts and boots? Oh yea, those cool vests with the HOG patches on them, forgot about that.

Dear Dipshit,
I was merely mentioning the Buell riding gear for all you in the box thinkers out there. Trying to help you save some money on gear to then spend on your repairs.
Will the madness ever stop???

SO LONG GREAT TO SEE THEM GONE

Damn, sucks to hear. I had a 98 X1 up till about a year or 2 ago. Regret selling now. It was such a fun little bike. It was a mule to ride for long trips. Every part of me hurt, but totally worth it for the fun factor. I did a half day ride from Austin down to Bandera not too long ago. What a blast.

What a shame .

hunter101165 2 years ago
Fuck innovations...

i've never ridden one but have always loved the look of buell's and have a couple of friends who love them. i'd never consider buying a HD but i would a buell. i hope this guy keeps involved in designing bikes as i think he has a lot to offer
little69111 2 years ago 3
I'd never consider a HD either, and I don't like the engine sound, but goddamn, Buell's are something special.
Never rode one, but the bikes are interesting, they really stand out from all other bikes. Sad to hear them quit
