The VCM engine still has a lot to prove.... I held off and got the 4cyl 2.4 at 190hp 2010 accord sedan instead... That's my 5th Honda vehicle. I Luv my Honda!!!!
@zelgadiss well, my take is that people say this because it has a very wide, low, planted stance, especially compared to competitors like the Altima and Camry. The proportions are good and the whole design looks rather square. There are some fussy details in the front and rear, which the Germans have fallen in love with for some reason. Recent Volkswagens, on the other hand, seem to be looking more stereotypical Japanese- bland and bubbly- go figure!
This v6 has a timing belt instead of a timing chain, and it must be changed at 60,000 miles. That's the reason I got the 2.4 inline 4--because it has a chain. Changing a timing belt yourself is a tremendous hassle--unless you pay a mechanic to do it (which will cost you around $500 US (parts and labor).
I've put white hole plugs from Lowe's to fill the holes in my front bumper of my other car where the holder was mounted. Better cover that lower grille area if you want to avoid the 850.00 repair from stone damage - look it up!
the beauty with these new gen accords coupe and sedans is that they look like german cars from certain angles but they do not have the shitty reliability of todays german cars. HONDA RULEZ

No, it costs around 1200.00 and needs to be changed every 110,000 miles, not 60K.

Sure glad the dealer didn't put a vanity plate holder on the front of my 08 accord..
miredian 2 years ago
Got the real plates on now; yep they were nasty looking vanity plates -- should have taken them off when I first got the car.

Those are called hydraulics. My dads 1996 Lincoln Town car has those. Nothing really European about them.

Thanks for the details. I also learned Lincoln have been using them for a while also. Thanks again, Joe
