  • the b-side of evrything but love...Chess 1903

  • "Everything But Love" was the B Side

  • Is this a total re-make, ie: modern drummer, bass/piano, etc? Or...the orig. musicians? Damn, this song is so fine. Didn't hear it much out here in so. Ariz. back in the day. I heard it recently, actually pulled my truck off the road and waited for the dj to say who this was. After a Google search....here is am. This song transcends the 44yrs. Joel in Tucson

  • It's a total remake done in 1999 for "The Strange World Of Northern Soul" video documentary.

  • Nice post. I grew up on this song. So many memories.

  • i love this song

  • This record was huge everywhere. It pleasantly wreaks of Motown, the beat, the crisp/tight melody, double-time handclaps, tender strings, pulsating piano taps, Smokey-like lyrics/phrasing, and Mary Wells/Brenda Holloway style vocals. I'm sure Motown was caught off guard by this one.

  • This was a HUGE record in NYC in 1964. I was a kid and remember all the teens dancing to this. Glad to see Jackie Ross looking well in 2007.

  • A "Glorious" "Glorious!" sparkling "New!" version! "Superb!" Its "very clear" that a lot of passion and hard work has gone into this "gem" and it "shows!"

  • I agree with you Ian completely.

    I loooooove it!!!!!!!!!!!

    You are so eloquent........
