I am sure these guys train hard too, but athletic ability is mostly natural, If I devoted my life into being able to jump higher, I am sure i could greatly increase my vert, but i would still never be able to jump as high as these guys.

I would argue that the mentality is what would block you from jumping as high as them. And I couldn't disagree more that athletic ability is mostly natural, the bottom line is that these guys have probably been jumping daily since they were 12 trying to touch the backboard, rim, dunk, 360, etc.

The thing is we only see the finished product, not the thousands of hours they've put into it.
