Fundamentally I agree with Stallman, however it's insane to expect the average user to be capable of using what amounts to crippled linux distros - and anyone switching to it having to *pay for* new peripherals to avoid using drivers that don't cost them anything anyway, especially since even the nerdiest hackers are unlikely to want to change that stuff, and if they do then they have the skills to write their own anyhow.... It's just another form of confinement.

Problem is "Linux" is a nicer word to say than "Gnu", so sorry Stallman, it's getting called Linux by me lol, though I will mention the GNU and such... Grudgingly.

I also refuse to own a mobile phone, tracking devices. Unfortunately I don't know how to stop my ISP from logging/tracking my every online move, if it's even possible.

@NathanGNU There's linux-libre as well, which has the blobs removed from the linux kernel, making it fully free software. It is active too, with releases mirroring those of the original linux kernel.

I really like the talk, but it's a bit long.

Probably it would be more practical to split it somehow into chapters / parts.
