hah, i bought the dvd 'Tony Rice Guitar Method' hoping to learn this song. Tony's the worst teacher ever. he just plays it at normal speed and hopes you catch on. when the co-host of the dvd asks him to slow it down for the viewer, he plays it maybe 15 BPM slower. When asked to explain how he chooses what notes to play (chord shapes vs scales) he pretty much just says "i'm a natural. i just know."

Got your note as I'm sitting here this Sunday in Vancouver, BC. I'd sure be interested to know whether you've tabbed out any more Tony. I've got a pretty good obsession going trying to figure out T's stuff. Like, for eg, his 2 breaks on More Pretty Girls and other stuff on the Skaggs and Rice classic. It'd be pretty cool(never mind cool, fantastic!) to get those chops surrounded. You got good skills and I'd much appreciate your thoughts.
