  • Any man that can burn up a fiddle like that wearing a sombrero has my vote.

  • YEPPPP! he can only play like this when he is drunk!!!! he looks smashed lol. jkjkjkjk

  • how many notes you reckon were in that one?

  • wow nice job

  • Orange Blossom Special. Awesome.

  • Tearin' it up is right. I pass through Waco twice a year. Wish I knew how to see this guy again.

  • I read the comments, and am amazed at how stupid people are. Those that are being critical....you step up and play it?

  • At least 95% of this rendition is note for note quoted from Mark O'Connor's version of the Orange Blossom Special on his New Nashville Cats album. Go figger!

  • funny how the background gives off an illusion of it being on the side... O.o;

  • nice sombrero

  • now thats what i call shredding on the fidlde

  • where can we get a CD?

  • To all those asking the name of this piece, this is a rather...creative rendition of the Orange Blossom Special. There's quite a bit of spur-of-the-moment improv here. Most sheet-music versions of it (which you can buy in a music shop or likely find online) won't have quite the frills his version does, but they will teach the basic tune, and you can make up whatever you want to from there, or try to copy what he does. A lot of the fun of it, though, is making up your own way of playing.

  • great job

  • Just noise

  • just out of curiosity, what is the name of this song?

  • Wow

  • They drink the Orange Blossom Special ?

    - or has he drunk it all !? He could play that brilliantly if he (still) had a mind - or a requirement to !!

  • yea buddy...play that fiddle

  • Comment removed

  • WOW!!! Do you have any cd's for sale?

  • deffenatley BADD ASS

  • he probably plays for beer money outside the store

  • what gets me is the sombrero. xD

  • @NerdyGrrrl Well duh! lol

  • orange blossom super special...man, this is fast!

  • Man!!!That would make a hummingbird dizzy...WOW!

  • Hell Yea That's what I'm SCREAMING! great job

  • ohh hott dayummm!

  • yep! The talent is all from Him and He's the one I'm playing for :-D

  • jesus.

  • damm!!!!!!!!!

  • the joe satriani of fiddling

  • Serouis talent Dude!!!! WOW!

  • sounds like a guitar solo

  • You've got some of the notes from Mark's version; now control the bow. Mark played the A arpeggio run with separated bow strokes, not all in one or two bow strokes.

  • Also, since your from the classical world I'm sure you know but I'll remind you. Your right index finger is for power. Use it. Your squeekin. Your index finger will eliminate that problem.

  • but cool, what style u come from, i come from the metis and old tyme style

  • classical

  • Love that Clark County sombero!

  • Fantastic!!!! Dang.

  • Orange Blossom Special...nice

  • well fiddle me sticks this guy kicks

    AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good job dawg... that was tight!

  • WOW THAT IS TOTALLY AMAZING COOL

  • PSH whatever... hes wearing a SOMBRERO!

  • @setyouback lol right?

  • oops, my bad, that was orange blossom special, right?

  • ah, Bile 'em cabbage down...

  • holy shit !!

  • I agree that he is obviously classically trained, and needs to loosen up a little, but I disagree that his heart isn't in it. Tell you the truth I've never liked that song. the only part that's any fun to watch or play is the double shuffle part. the rest of it is stupid train sound effects.

  • Yup, I thought it was pretty darn amazing. Makes my version sound like a ballad : (

But maybe this bloke can't drive a truck like I can : )

  • sweet...his playing reminds me of Chris Sexton (fiddle player for Nothin Fancy. He was 1st chair in orchestra all through collage and one of the best fiddlers I've heard) Bravo!

  • lol man thats crazy fast

  • when u talk about american traditional music, don't forget people that build it at start... U will see, that it was not so "deep", but it was from the heart, like this episode. He is onest musician and his music followed me to dance with some pretty american lady on a farm:)

  • Nice orange blossom!

  • WHOA, HE SURE CAN FIDDLE!!! CRAZY!

  • Everybody doesn't have to play the song as it originally was played. May as well stick to sheet music, with that attitude.

As many times as I've played guitar to that tune, this guy would have really made me stretch!

  • i took social dance with him :)

  • hes even better at classical...

  • like to see him play something classical...

  • I like to see u first play something like this!

  • Sounds good to me! :^)

  • He was talented - I just don't like the arrangement. Maybe I'm partial to the one I use when I play; this one just didn't seem as... rich as the song was originally.
