I see they still haven't learned their lesson nobody wants a car that burns gas I'm a Dodge owner but I refuse to spend my money on a gas driven car. PS American companies complete ass holes.
They may have the horsepower to get up and go, but most Hybrids lack the torque to pull anything.
When pulling a trailer of any considerable size you need torque then you need the stoping power ie breaks, and heavy enough vehicle to get the load stopped.
The main difference is that the Expedition like the F150 and the Super Duty trucks produce most of there torque in the low 2100 rpm range, more low end torque means it will pull better.
why I fod towing? lol dumbass Ford Fan cant even type. Ford is not better at towing, look at any tractor pull and whos always, ALWAYS #1? Dodge. its only GMs and Dodges that compete cause Ford doesnt have enough torque and are too unreliable. I know I wouldnt take my Fords tractor pullin!
Any modern 3 Liter 4-cyl Diesel gets a torque of 400 at 1800rpm and only needs 10L/100km or less (US--> approx 29mpg I think - or better) BUT "only" 180 HP
Gas engines in such big trucks are dinosaurs.
But hybrids are "in" and "cool" so yay lets make useless hybrids when there's easier and cheaper diesels.
Hybrid or not, that HEMI engine is still a damn monster, its too bad the hybrids were discontinued

@homeboylx 9000 pounds

@L4TIn0St4NdUp isn't it less because of it being a hybrids and the grill not being big enough to cool the engines?

say waaaaaa. I am not following you in this post.

Main Ideas:
1) Diesel is better for towing than gas.
2) Hybrid powered SUVs are pointless.
;-)

the hybrids have 399 horsepower. not a lot of torque but i little bit more then 365

ya but you still dont have the range of a normal gas or diesel truck.
