don't worry about trying to perform a studio recording perfectly because Gibbons doesn't in concert. very few artists plays exactly what they put down in the studio. you can probably list a dozen or so and it's almost boring when they do it as they might as well have put on a CD and stood there.
dude, will it be too much to ask to send me some measures of your guitar. since i dont have that much money i want to build my own... Im just a huge fan of this guitar... gretsch should do a more affordable model, with less features
Not sure how big of a fan of ZZ you are or of Billy but you should try and learn the song Tell it off the Recycler album and post it, that wouldbe insane!
Not bad, nice guitar and tone. Some of it is really perfect, but I'd sit down and take just a few of the sloppier solo phrases and listen back over the track a lot of times on those parts and try to get his note timing better; it;s all about feel too man, if you aren't feeling a phrase at the time when you roll up to it in the solo, improv something.
Well done. Your timing is a bit inconsistant, but like the fella said before, you played it beter than I and alot of folks could have! Rock On! I love the guitar, especially the pickups. TV Jones "Powertrons Plus" Rock kinda like a Gibson PAF or 57' Classic plus. It looks like it will get you noticed!
@MrLash1143 I think there's about 15 now, they're all in my videos, check 'em out. 7 LPs, the two R8s are the best by far so the others will go at some point, though the Slash standard is fine too. One Gretsch Billy Bo that's okay but I'll replace it with a chambered LP. I like the Ampeg but would like an original one. The Steinberger bass is killer. The Telecaster and the Tanglewood acoustic do their job, no complain there. Oh and the Chiquita is always with me at work...
yeah its a Dean. there's cheap alternatives out there though, also cheap models by dean, if you don't have the money for the actual version Gibbons used.
Thank you. About the guitar you'll have to complain to Billy Gibbons himself since he re-designed it and plays it on stage most nights. I think it's amazing personnaly.
lol i like your dance when you open and shut your legs like a chicken on heat. Man id love to be able to play like this, never know maybe in a few years time eh! :o))
It's a master volume, so you can cut the whole output rather than just one pickup's volume at a time. It adds a little versatility. For example I like to use the middle position with bridge pup volume at 10 and neck pup volume midway. So thanks to the master, I can keep that position and just lower the whole output on the master. And the position is easier to reach so it makes it a user-friendly live guitar.
that was great. I really want one of these guitars. I think they're releasing some electromatic models (just look on google images "electromatic Billy Bo")
Really fuckin cool man. I love the way those Gretsch pickups sound playing gainy rock music. Love your playing, it was badass. Gotta get me a Billy Bo, just got a White Penguin last month.
Yes... I'm sorry. I should try and get some up though, now you mention it. No one on YouTube seems to have a good demo video of a White Penguin. Much less a White Falcon.

thanks for the reply, i'm seriously thinking buying one. is there anything you can tell me that will help in the care of this fine instrument? anything else about it would be helpful. keep on rockin' friend!
The best thing about it is that it's a hollow body, so it's very light. Try one in a shop first, you might be surprised by its sound at first if you're used to a Les Paul for example, but after a while u should fall in love. For care, well, don't drop it ;-) Seriously, buy a spray and a cloth for the body. Be careful about the neck since the wood might require a different cleaning product (unless u sweat much you might not need to clean it often anyway). And never unplug the guitar first.
one more thing, learn how to check that the neck is straight. It so happened that mine wasn't in the shop, I saw it immediately and asked the guy to fix it. It's rather easy, but let a pro do it if u're unsure. Necks bend with changes in temperature, humidity... It's normal, wood is alive!
hi there, it's the Gretsch Billy-Bo, search a bit on YouTube and you'll find Billy Gibbons using it in countless shows since he designed it based on the guitar Bo Diddley gave him as a gift and was too precious to take on the road. But afterwards Gretsch built some for him in white, black, with a reverse body, with a bigsby... lucky reverend G
cool man thanks i also notice that you have a bc rich mockingbird is that a slash version and if it is where did you find it im looking for one but cant find any please commit back
It is, with Seymour Duncan pickups. The action is the lowest of all my guitars and with the Floyd Rose it's more of a machine gun than a simple guitar. I found it in a used guitar shop in Japan for about 200,000 yen which is not a bargain I guess (about 2000 USD at the time)

It's a master volume, so you can cut the whole output rather than just one pickup's volume at a time. It adds a little versatility.
