  • this is not real hij doet net alsof

  • dit is nep

  • 0:44 Hahahaha!!!!

  • don't worry about trying to perform a studio recording perfectly because Gibbons doesn't in concert. very few artists plays exactly what they put down in the studio. you can probably list a dozen or so and it's almost boring when they do it as they might as well have put on a CD and stood there.

  • Nice, work a little on your timing but other than that i like it. Nice guitar tone also..:)

  • dude for the backing track you play with it in the same time or you add it later with a softwere

  • thats a nice guitar it kinda looks like a charvel you ever seen the car guitar ZZ top had? charvel made that thing its fuckin sweet

  • @NCrattler84 i have the custom of it

  • 0:44 Awwwww yaaaaa :)

  • dude, will it be too much to ask to send me some measures of your guitar. since i dont have that much money i want to build my own... Im just a huge fan of this guitar... gretsch should do a more affordable model, with less features

    thanks!!

  • Nice job man. Great playing! Your timing was a little bit off on the main riff, but it really was great.

  • Not sure how big of a fan of ZZ you are or of Billy but you should try and learn the song Tell it off the Recycler album and post it, that wouldbe insane!

  • where did you buy it? its very rare!

  • @lluka00 In Japan, where they are made. Have not seen many on sale indeed.

  • @vdbdg how much did it cost? im in love with those guitars :O

  • @lluka00 Was 230k yen at the time. Bout $2500.

  • awesome playin man!! your moves are also cool ;)

  • those drums, they sound so neat! and oh yes the guitar to.

  • dancing at 2:00. AWESOME! lol :)

  • great T-shirt :D

  • Not bad, nice guitar and tone. Some of it is really perfect, but I'd sit down and take just a few of the sloppier solo phrases and listen back over the track a lot of times on those parts and try to get his note timing better; it;s all about feel too man, if you aren't feeling a phrase at the time when you roll up to it in the solo, improv something.

  • you sure love zz top

  • awesome cover! and awesome guitar too! is that a billy gibbons signature?

  • awesome cover whats that guitar called?

  • @Heikoman90 Thank you very much. It's a Gretsch Billy-Bo.

  • @vdbdg where can i get one?

  • @vdbdg reasonably priced, that is...lol

  • Well done. Your timing is a bit inconsistant, but like the fella said before, you played it beter than I and alot of folks could have! Rock On! I love the guitar, especially the pickups. TV Jones "Powertrons Plus" Rock kinda like a Gibson PAF or 57' Classic plus. It looks like it will get you noticed!

  • Hmm.....not bad, Val. Not 100%. But pretty impressive. Your axe sounds so good when it screeches! Keep it up!

  • Watching T.V. and play guitar... thats not ADHD! Hes just multitasking xD

  • i love this song!!!!! and its pretty simple to play until you get to the solos lol

  • phwoar gibbon's guitar :P

  • how much was the gretch billy-bo?

  • nice job, good soundin billy-bo

  • Hey buddy. Where did you get the backing track from? I love playing with backing tracks. It makes you play that little bit better.

    Awesome job on this one!!

  • Nailed it!!

Billy and the boys would be proud!

  • umm... well... holy fuck thats allot of les pauls damn

    like lp heaven damn

    you lucky bastard

  • ur pretty good. i like ur billy gibbons imitations haha

  • so how many guitars do you have and what are they?

and you really should do a video gear tour :)

  • @MrLash1143 I think there's about 15 now, they're all in my videos, check 'em out. 7 LPs, the two R8s are the best by far so the others will go at some point, though the Slash standard is fine too. One Gretsch Billy Bo that's okay but I'll replace it with a chambered LP. I like the Ampeg but would like an original one. The Steinberger bass is killer. The Telecaster and the Tanglewood acoustic do their job, no complain there. Oh and the Chiquita is always with me at work...

  • Not to be rude or anything,

but you must be fricken rich to have all of these expensive guitars, especialy the page lp custom

  • @MrLash1143 no worries mate. You know, I couldn't afford the cheapest Les Paul when I was 20. After working for 12 years, now I can.

  • @vdbdg so you're 33? Because you sure hell don't look 33

  • slightly off beat at some points but otherwise great, better than i could do. :)

  • Awesome man! We should combine efforts sometime! Rock on! Dice

  • like the guitar

  • good job man! one question what kind of amp or preamp/effect did you use?

Sound is pretty close to original

  • @jacktheripper00 Thank you. For this kind of modern sounding tone, I use a Marshall JCM800 and a Treble Booster.

  • Its OK......

  • NICE! you got a Slash LP and a BillyBo!

  • Billy Bo guitar in white w/ bigsby is even more beautiful then a tele

  • it sounds great.

  • its a copy of the guitar that zz made from the wood off the birth cabin of muddy waters.

  • hum hum wrong, do some research ...

  • The furr guitar that Billy used was actually a dean guitar. You can go to deans web site and see for yourself.

  • yeah its a Dean. there's cheap alternatives out there though, also cheap models by dean, if you don't have the money for the actual version Gibbons used.

  • muy buen cover amigo y la guitarra esta genial es la zz top felicidades

  • pretty cool

  • swell job man, im buying one once my kidneys and left lung sell on craigslist.

  • by the way, do you know what type of guitar is the one that billy gibbons uses that´s covered in white furr?????

they use it one the eagle rock ¨leggs¨ video

i´m a big zz top fan and i´m curious becasuse im thinking about covering my yamaha with white furr THANKS A LOT MAN

  • its a gibson explorer save up

  • hi

i really liked a lot your ¨sharp dressed man¨ cover and your billy gibbons custom made guitar.

i hope you could do a tutorial on the solo for those of us who are beginners and aren't as advanced as you

  • Thank you. About the guitar you'll have to complain to Billy Gibbons himself since he re-designed it and plays it on stage most nights. I think it's amazing personnaly.

  • Hey Val I liked the way you played this song so much i put my own lyrics to it.

    Hope you don't mind.

check it out its called HOT NIGHT by woobs.

  • nothing whitout the sunglasses :D

  • Awesome playing dude!!! But I have a question. On the Gretsch Billy Bo is between the pickups a poti, for what is that???(volumen???)

  • It's a master volume, so you can cut the whole output rather than just one pickup's volume at a time. It adds a little versatility. For example I like to use the middle position with bridge pup volume at 10 and neck pup volume midway. So thanks to the master, I can keep that position and just lower the whole output on the master. And the position is easier to reach so it makes it a user-friendly live guitar.

  • awesome!!!

  • that was great. I really want one of these guitars. I think they're releasing some electromatic models (just look on google images "electromatic Billy Bo")

  • goddam i hope they are man i tried to see the forum which that imiage is posted on it just wouldnt load man

if they do thou im gettin 1 pronto

  • Beautiful Guitar!!... Gretsch Billy Bo right? where did u get it?

    Nice playing by the way!

  • Thanks, yes, that's the one. Got it in Tokyo, one of the best towns for guitar nuts.

  • Kool... i will remember this!!

  • The 'C' is played like 'C' Major-except you bar out the 'E'...No offense intended, just watch it live and it will sound better!

  • Where the hell is your beard? You have the moves, the guitar and th shades!! Where is the beard?

  • haha i like how you even do the rocking motion while playing that ZZ Top does

  • Amazing guitar man, well done!

  • pretty good but... your playing is a little too tight you need to loosen up your sound

  • Not bad.

  • wat type is your

    guitar

  • it's a Gretsch Billy-Bo

  • hahaha :D just loved it when you did "THE MOVE" :D

    great cover!

  • really awesome and nice guitar its pretty cool

  • Fantastic!!!

  • this is the best cover i have ever seen! and nice zz top dance XD

  • From where did you got this guitar oO

  • they are made in Japan so I'm close to the source since I live in Tokyo

  • Ah, thanks for your answer. Pretty expensive, aren't they?

  • yeah, paid about 2300 bucks new, but the shop next door was selling the very same for an extra 1000 bucks. Go figure...

  • its a gretsch guitar

  • 0:46 NICE!!!!

  • it was awesome

  • nice playing. nice place. you've earned it

  • Dude you're loaded! Did you rip someone off or is your family rich?

  • I come from the farm, went to public school and public univertisty, worked non-stopped since graduating and bought all this shit myself

  • OMG! your cover is brilliant! I can only play half of this song! X

  • Really fuckin cool man. I love the way those Gretsch pickups sound playing gainy rock music. Love your playing, it was badass. Gotta get me a Billy Bo, just got a White Penguin last month.

  • You have a white penguin? OMG, that is my ultimate dream guitar, barr none.

  • Dissapointingly, calebknockin doesn't have any White Penguin vids up, lol

  • Yes... I'm sorry. I should try and get some up though, now you mention it. No one on YouTube seems to have a good demo video of a White Penguin. Much less a White Falcon.

  • Please do, and I will subscribe to it, haha

I have played a new White Penguin once in Toronto. One day...I promised I would have one before I turn 50. I have 13 years to go, haha

  • It would only make it worse I'm afraid, but I'm growing a modest beard for the next video

  • Lovin' the guitar! Nice work mate. Keep posting; I really enjoy them! ;D

  • zz top themselves would be proud. good job

  • keep it flarey!!

that is one helluva guitar, dude!!

  • i think, it's awesome :)

very nice guitar, by the way :)

  • You should be growing a beard.

  • I am actually!

  • never unplug the guitar first? why's that? whoa! thanks for the reply and don't stop rockin!

  • something I've been told, I guess it preserves the electrics. Better to put the amp on Stand-By, then unplug

  • it doesn't wear out the speaker in the amp

  • Dude your rockin! Love the sunglasses.

    Great cover!

  • thanks a lot, check out my "cheap sunglasses" video, in honor of those shades

  • 5stars :) i like it so much!

  • thanks for the reply, i'm seriously thinking buying one. is there anything you can tell me that will help in the care of this fine instrument? anything else about it would be helpful. keep on rockin' friend!

  • The best thing about it is that it's a hollow body, so it's very light. Try one in a shop first, you might be surprised by its sound at first if you're used to a Les Paul for example, but after a while u should fall in love. For care, well, don't drop it ;-) Seriously, buy a spray and a cloth for the body. Be careful about the neck since the wood might require a different cleaning product (unless u sweat much you might not need to clean it often anyway). And never unplug the guitar first.

  • one more thing, learn how to check that the neck is straight. It so happened that mine wasn't in the shop, I saw it immediately and asked the guy to fix it. It's rather easy, but let a pro do it if u're unsure. Necks bend with changes in temperature, humidity... It's normal, wood is alive!

  • cool thanks do you no how lucky you where to find it they dont make it anymore but something simalar to it which is the ST instead of the SL

  • i've seen you're other videos, keep 'em coming. the neck doesn't seem too wide, is that a problem?

  • it is quite wide and thin, very easy to play, similar to my Les Paul

  • hay what model is that guitar because i seen zz top play one of those but it was white great cover by the way

  • hi there, it's the Gretsch Billy-Bo, search a bit on YouTube and you'll find Billy Gibbons using it in countless shows since he designed it based on the guitar Bo Diddley gave him as a gift and was too precious to take on the road. But afterwards Gretsch built some for him in white, black, with a reverse body, with a bigsby... lucky reverend G

  • cool man thanks i also notice that you have a bc rich mockingbird is that a slash version and if it is where did you find it im looking for one but cant find any please commit back

  • It is, with Seymour Duncan pickups. The action is the lowest of all my guitars and with the Floyd Rose it's more of a machine gun than a simple guitar. I found it in a used guitar shop in Japan for about 200,000 yen which is not a bargain I guess (about 2000 USD at the time)
