  • He fucked froggy up!

  • What's Ron into these days? Retired old dude or what?

  • Ghoul Power now and forever

  • GHOUL POWER ... guy o my of the day !!

  • I miss the old days in Cleveland too.....so much fun as a kid to watch this and have pizza and the late movie.. those times are gone. We only had 3 channels and no clicker..

  • The Ghoul on Channel 61 on Saturdays and Houlihan and Big Chuck on Friday nights on old channel 8 those indeed were the days

  • The guy's name was Ron Sweed and man I remember him well. I would watch the Goul on Channel 61 out of Cleveland on my neighbors then "Alliance Tennarotor". There was no such thing as cable back then in the early 70's. Yes, the movies were corny. But, this was legendary entertainment in a time when children played outside ,a computer was a room full of machines and the word "internet" was not in our vocabulary..

  • Oh yeah miss those days! Kids today have no clue and the sad thing is they will never have a clue about the days past we all enjoyed. I do also wish those days would come back and that kids found enjoyment in that stuff we did.

  • Hiya Gang, hiya hiya hiya!

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • This brings back memories of getting to stay up late on saturday nights with my dad, watching the b-movies with the ghoul. The inserted sound effects were the best! Rock On Ghoul!!! (and you too Froggy!)

  • We need him back in Detroit on Ch 20. Ghoul power rocks.

  • Pink flamingos and white socks in Parma... He was funny.

  • Wheres my cheeze whiz? Turn blue scratch glass.......

  • " and don't forget kids to.... BEAT THE MEAT!"

  • Hey youse sickies,

Dont forget, this Saturday the 23rd. Our King and leader will be at the annual Halloween party at the Jefferson Yacht Club. a few tickets still available.

Scratch glass and turn Blue !

  • I hope no frogs were harmed in the making of this video.

  • Frightening contemplations of youth. I grew up in Oakland CA and I still remember the magical summer i which his show was syndicated on KBHK channel 44 in San Francisco and we could enjoy both The Ghoul and Bob Wilkins. I thought he was hysterical the way he tore up Froggy. Of course, the sickest amongst us kids did this shit to our toys in real life but this in no way blunted the novelty of an adult doing this on television.

  • Now upon reflection and the Distance of Time I find the Ghoul Truly Frightening. Watch the Toolbox Murders and tell me you see any difference. He was certainly way ahead of his time in that sense. Too far ahea for channel 44 in any case I guess. I think the phone lights in the station are still permanently stuck in the 'lit' position after that time he tore Froggy's arms and legs off and squirted Cheez-Whizz up his ass..

  • The Ghoul was great!

  • i love that he lives on!!!!!!

  • Children Shouldn't play with Dead Things and Psychomania were classics he would host.

  • The Ghoul really wanted to honor Ghoulardi, didn't he?

Imitation, after all,is the sincerest form of flattery.

  • AWESOME!! Thanks for posting!!! brings memories!!!!

  • The Ghoul the original late night nut

  • The Ghoul is the King of Detroit, Too bad he didn't blow Cleveland up!

  • He blew up Detroit and came back home..to CLEVELAND...

  • @terrykozak

When we flush our toilets, Detroit is where it resurfaces.

  • VERY COOL!!!

  • I do love frog legs! We loved them before they were cool on the Travel Channel! Damn that bald headed jew!

    Dislaimer:

We're only making fun of all creatures great and small, of all who have walked, swam, and begged the people for some hand outs, that includes the governments of the world too!

    frak them all

    channel 50 from detroit!

  • big chuck and hoolie were corny but the ghoul was cutting edge tacky funny like SNL in the early 70;s. Totally a memory of staying up late on friday nite to watch the ghoul blow some stuff up!

  • I LIVED for Friday nights and the Ghoul! Nothing like it since! Very cool memories of the G-man.

  • This is freaking me out and I love it.

  • hiya hiya hiya!!!!!

  • "Come closer honey." "Stop that!" "shshsh, Quiet."

  • Mid 1970s, late night, bad monster movies, and the Ghoul! Those were the days, oberday, kids!

  • @kayAbee The Ghould kept a lot of teenage devils ( like me) off the street on Friday nights!

  • Man, I miss the old days in Cleveland!

  • He used to be here in Detroit, too! Those were the days. Darn SNL!

  • @benderbuster Detriot here ...me to !

  • Thanks for posting this! Voyage To The Bottom of the Barrell!

  • Ah! So you remember "The Ghoul's Vault of Golden Garbaaje."

  • way before Mr. Bill!

  • We gave the Ghoul a smoke-bomb, and he put it inside Froggy and made him into a rocket!

  • This is as funny as a truckload of dead babies. This froggy bit is overdone. Maybe the other froggy bits were cool.

  • OMGosh~I so remember this clip. Poor Froggy, he always got the short end of the stick. For some reason, at age 44, I still find myself saying Frooogggyy (Frog-gee) hi ya,hi ya,hi ya...and my daughter is like...huh??? He was great~We didn't care what movie was on...we just wanted to see him!! This was a cool trip down memory lane~Thanks~

  • u suk

  • ow Ow OW!!! He should've blown him up though.

  • Fuckin'Great! God,I miss those days...His favorite brand of explosives were Thunder Bombs...

  • This is not only sick but a complete reversal of the true Froggy's nature. The real Froggy (on "Andy's Gang") was a deep-voiced wiseacre who always got the best of long-suffering, gravel-voiced Andy Devine.

  • Every frog has his day.

  • Froggy RULES! He is the predecessor to Mr. Bill.

  • Still pluckin my magic twanger years later...

  • In addition bustin' froggy's chops, didn't "The Ghoul" take out after Parma, Ohio, to the point where the mayor of Parma actually complained to the station????Great post.

  • I'm over 40 years old, ...still scratching glass & turning blue.

  • @kevinthe1st Do it in the road, but don't get caught.

  • Detroit area. Dig the Ghoul. Psychomania.

  • Psychomania! The best movie he ever aired!

  • Hey. If you are in the Detroit area, TV20 has a guy named Wolfman Mac on 12 midnight. That is Saturdays. The show is called Nighmare Sinema. Check him out on myspace. He has seen the ghoul, for shore. Has a character called Son of Froggy.

  • I met him sometime ago! He is cool too and he showed Psychomania! Like myself, WM grew with Sir Graves, The Ghoul, Son of Svengoolie and maybe someone else I left out!

  • Do you mean on tv, these days??? No way! I have never heard of him. I will have to check this guy out!!!!

  • Oh you are so right!

  • The Ghoul set the bar. 30 years later he is still the gold standard. In Detroit in 2008 we suffer with a complete wipe, Wolfman Mac (what is that?) while longing for the Truth, our King, our Leader to be restored.

  • too funny

  • great show. I was 7 years old drinking coffee so I could stay up to watch the whole show

  • wow.. memories!

I grew up watching the Ghoul in Detroit :-)

  • borbert loves the ghoul

  • I'm from detroit, we loved the ghoul in the 70's. they test marketed the ghoul in about ten cities, only detroit really liked it besides ohio of course.

  • Oh man! now I remember what made me so twisted!

  • omg love this! my uncle showed me it last night and its hilarious!! go froggy! hehe hope his tooth gets better...

  • LOL at "Good Vibrations" as the song in the backround

  • CLEVELAND's VERY OWN............OW OW OW....HIYA HIYA HIYA.......COME BACK!..Gonna miss ya on Halloween at Ghoulard's!!

  • Ah, the fine memories of WKBD Detroit weekend late night TV!

    The Ghoul rules!!

  • This is hard to watch... I ache with nostalgia!

  • OMG.... First I find Houlihan and Big Chuck, then THE GHOUL AND FROGGY??? This is awesome! I watched both these shows growing up in the Akron-Cleveland area, and I love these memories! Thank you!

  • Andys Gang was never like this. bring on more FROGGY BITS!

  • Oh. My. Gawd.

  • Used to watch this from NJ when broadcasted on Kaiser Broadcasting in the 70's!

  • Dude....thank you soooo much....this is a page from my childhood!!!!

  • Ow-Ow-Ow!!!

  • Priceless!

  • remember when they kidnapped froggy? that was funny!

  • This sicky is still hilarious after 30 years. The Ghoul rocks!!!

  • That was great! Definitely brought back memories. Quality entertainment!
