Ground combat is by far the worst part of the game. Although, they've already said they want to redo it, and possibly even make players have to aim. I definitely agree having more environmental factors would be awesome. They're working on having more social areas, and have said in the future they even want persistent PvP areas. I also agree with how they don't do a good job of explaining anything in the game. You basically have to ask more knowledgeable players, or look things up online.

I really agree with the statements made in the video. Personally one neat little feature that could radically change the game would be to add in Voice Commands, without requiring the use of an external program. But that's just me.

i think that if at least the space combat was like star trek bridge commander would be more interesting.Being able to disable or even destroy an opponents subsystems would give the game a more strategic eye of view.For example being able to destroy opponents impulse engines would make him immobile calling a team mate to use his tractor beam to pull him\her out of the battle.I never played this game simply making suggestions.Live long and prosper YouTubers...

@Gorrilaz2405 Science vessels have abilities that target subsystems. They automatically debuff whichever subsystem you target, and have a % chance to completely disable the subsystem for a few seconds. Also, using phasers gives a lower % chance to disable a random subsystem for a couple of seconds. So, they do allow you to do what you suggest, but you have to realize also that this is a MMO, so they have to not overpower those abilities or it would imbalance the PvP.

Yes right now the game is basically a shell, it can be a lot more and these are some changes that I really hope they use. Maybe not now but hopefully soon they will.

Playing STO was such a HUGE let down. Many bugs, special uber treatment of the lifetime accounts while the monthlys get shit on. End game content is crap, the items stats dont make any sense, the gear sucks, and the stupid C-Store! Charging players for stuff that SHOULD have been in the release!! This game is very unfinished and I hope Cryptic/Atari bankrupt because of this! (FYI I am a huge Star Trek fan, and it hurts to see this crap Cryptic did to the Star Trek license!)

@MrLee9595 honestly, i still play this game, and i think its great. bugged? yeah, but that really doesnt affect the gameplay a lot. I think the best part of the game was watching the fanboys start jumping up and down from the hype and then start having unrealistic expectations of the game. oh, and I am a monthly subscriber, and we really dont have it any worse in the big picture.

cant move around my ship..even the bridge is not interactive

the planets are crap cos no "life" in it..ie..no animals etc..+ there is no "open exploration" you cant discover new life or get lost in the delta quadrent like u s s voyager

current exploration is shit..and not as anyone expected,no planets,stars etc...whole thing is geared towards grinding points for new gear

its all "anomolys"

i find it so funny how games like this get put into the mmo category with areas being instances with limited player caps. that is not a mmo at all this is why titles like this deserve their own genre LPCORPG (Limited Player Cap Online Role Playing Game). for someone like me games like these give me almost no interest b.c the world seems small and unimportant knowing that 13 instanced versions exist at the same time.

yeah jesus... witin the 1st few hours you've already killed about 40thousand of the opposite faction.

One fleet action has you fight and blow up about 200 ships easy, give that each ship probably holds 40-100 crew members and the death toll is so insanely bloodthirsty you'd think you were playing Warhammer 40k not STO.

I remember when I got champions and they announced Star Trek. I felt its development went really fast. The beta seemed short. Not that long beta's really help that much considering some other MMO's that went through long betas and have performed poorly in the market. I have been disappointed with most MMO recently released. Not surprised it kinda blows. Disappointed with Champions too.
