  • how much does the 3g and 4g cost usa

  • audio sync fail

  • Thinking about buying a new i-mac/ i-pad? THINK AGAIN! Watch this video -before- you decide: "Apple made a flop"

  • Lol, my pc is crap, but even my processor is better than that one!

  • @zoidbetag dude for you that was 3 years ago to compare systems watch a review from 2010

  • @weridpan Yeah. I bought my computer 3 years ago.

  • ¡es 5ª generación!

  • la primera es la g3, la segunda la g4, la g5 que también vino con intel es la tercera, esta es cuarta por que no hubo cambios externos en el diseño

  • $1,999.00!!!!!

  • u americans say aluminium as al-u-min-um LOOK AT THE WORD al-u-min-ee-um (thats how to pronounce it)

  • LOL AL-U-MIN-UM

  • You have to understand that we spell it "Aluminum" not "Aluminium".

Seriously its not that big of a deal. :P

  • theres 2 ways to pronounce it

  • thats NOT 4th gen. thats 6th gen or Intel.

  • yeah thats tiger

  • I have a new iMac 4th gen 3.06ghz 4gb memory 500gb harddrive 24 inch screen and i love it, works and looks great. I also have the more expensive graphics card. Also i was wondering why in the video the imac is running tiger not leopard?

  • If this video is from August '07, is it possible Leopard wasn't released yet?

  • the voice is off sync with his lips

  • Compared to the previous I-mac (the white one) I find this version disappointing: a) tiny speakers (because the device is thinner ;hence less room for the lower sounds?) and b) less screen-quality( reflections in the glass plate are to my opinion a big minus) and the colours are -unexpectedly- less vivid ; there seams to be a lack of contrast.

The machine ,however, just looks great on the outside and it's processor is (a little) faster.

  • quiero una

  • got one just like that. best computer i have ever had!

  • man i think i might get this now im a mac and pc fan

  • Hey guys! Nobody interested in who has it.

  • These computers are at my school. I like them except when they get slow which happens sometimes :(

  • thats probably something to do with the convigs they may done

  • I have the new MacBook.

  • Mines ready for pick up on friday, oh ya! Animation here i come!

  • Looks real nice. But is it worth the £799 us Brits have to pay: maybe it's gonna increase if the pound keeps falling..feckin recession.

  • mac is only for rich mans

  • I bought mine few days ago!!

  • the audio is really behind the actual video.

  • I just bought one Friday and it really rocks!!! Completely worth every penny. I haven't stopped smiling since I got it. Only mine is the 20", 2.66 Core 2 Duo, & 2 gigs of RAM. If you have the means get one.

  • I got the new 2nd gen ipod touch

  • i really want one!!!!

  • does it have a cpu

  • The cpu is built into the screen. Derrrrrr

  • hahahaha, I l.o.l. at you!

  • I agree I am sick of having slow computer with a shitty dell! I hate windows and I hope I get a mac i will be pissed if I don't get one

  • is this the latest mac?

  • Yep

  • thnx,

  • This was the latest iMac in 2007, there is a newer one, same look BUT! faster/powerful... I have the one he is demonstrating, and let me tell you... this is the SEXIEST COMPUTER EVER!!!!!!

  • Agreed

  • Yeah, it looks better than the old white plastic.

  • same here and im a guitarist and would love to use garage band instead of just using loops and stuff we use the older ones in school and their way better

  • le debieron meter 8 nucleos o 4 por lo menos para que sea mejor la pc

  • I love Apple

  • 24'' ftw

  • hes reviewing the 2.4 GHz. the 3.6 one would be a little better thatll pack plrnty of pinch id say for an all in one system.

  • where do i plug my sound system? :-s i didnt see places to plug those jacks (or however are they called)

  • they are at the back on the mac !

  • that so isnt his voice

  • SUB TO MY NEW CHANNEL!!!

  • Amyone know wen the next generation of iMac may be released? What i'm afraid of is that a new iMac may be released 1 month after i bought mine.

  • It's wright, it is the 4th.

    1st Gen: iMac CRT

    2st Gen: "Lamp" iMac

    3st Gen: White iMac

    4st Gen: Aluminum iMac

  • i use both platforms, macs are much stable and last longer windows are more into the convenient and are much flexible

i like them both and i think that people who say any of them sucks are on the wrong side ;-)

  • @cesarin12003 buy a mac and put windows on it.

  • isnt it the 7th? G5 then intel core duo then intel core 2 duo

  • Thats the 6th gen you idiot

  • if i buy this can i hook up my belkin wireless router to get the internet or no? plz answer me!

  • Yes easily. WHen you boot up your computer it will ask you if you wanna connect to the internet closest to you.

  • One thing I have noticed is Mac gets much better customer reviews than any of the pc manufactures I have looked up. Google for reviews on different pc manufactures and you will see what i mean.

  • im getting that

  • The glossy screens are horrible. I wish they made it an option, like on the MacBook Pro. I'd rather have matte.

  • My next Mac.

  • when it showed the picture of the flower and the video of the space ship it looked very blue. Was that just an issue with the camera, or do images usually have a tint of blue on this kind of imac?

  • that'll be the camera, you can never capture the full colour range on a camera than you can with the naked eye...

  • it's 6th gen

  • where are the speakers located on the imac

  • The speakers are on the bottom.

  • In Europe the price of a mac is the sam in Euro as in Dollar so macs are too eXPensive for Europeens.

  • Yeah i totally agree with you Steve needs to look at the prices on macs in Europe

  • @WARP10CK and russia... 3,000 dollars minimum

  • Its actualy the 6th gen iMac, Their was the Imac G3 Tray loading, iMac G3 Slot Loading, iMac G4, imac G5, Intel iMac (iMac G5 desgin) and this new one.

  • Your right.

  • just after ordering my imac friday which is the 24 inch model could'nt help but notice the size of the 20 inch model it's huge whats my 24 inch mac going to be like . this is my first mac and hope it will live up to my expections

  • the 24 inch is like a cinema screen

  • Once you go Mac you never go back :)

  • Apple is only taking advantage of minaturization of technology. They are still way below many major PC manufacturers with the exception of Dell. Dell is officially crap nowerdays, back then Dell was the best pc to buy. Come on Mac servers, that is totally wrong.

  • They state they're so much better than Microsoft when at the same time they are only allowing the Mac OS for Macs. On top of that, they have a chip on their motherboards disallowing you to run Windows OS on their Macs (aka Windows running as soon as you push the ON button and no need to run Boot Camp or Parallel). If they just open up their OS to other manufacturers and sell their Macs for a lot less, then the serious competition will begin.

  • In PC World magazine MacBook Pro was the fastest Vista laptop.

Boot Camp is easy and works. Why would we want an open OS? Pros rather pay for a one that WORKS, drivers ready, no stupid geek shit and explanations like with Vista. Quality costs.

  • I have a Mac Book Pro :) 17inch it's excellent!

  • What? boot camp works like a multi boot utility before either of the Operating systems have a chance to start up. Like the GRUB if you dual boot windows and linux or even the standard windows multi boot if you have two different versions of windows.

  • One of the reasons Macs work so well is that the OS is tied to the architecture. By keeping the OS in house, Apple ensures good monetary returns for the company and maintains a 1:1M failure rate for their systems. Also, I know the Macs are beautiful machines, but if you want a true Windows PC, then just buy a PC. Just my 2 pennies.

  • also, consider that the s200t is one of the ugliest computers in the world, and Mac Mini has a great design

  • Macs have good designs but that doesn't make it worth the price.

  • I agree, the Mac Book has a really nice design but incompatible with most programs. Sure there are windows emulation software but it isn't the same as running on a real windows pc. I also think Vista has a better interface.

  • Programs such as?

    Try Boot Camp.

  • So on top of spending too much for a Mac, I have to buy a Windows OS to run my programs (such as games, Solidworks, etc)? I'll stick with PC

  • Poor man... You save on virus programs and time you spend maintaining your OS. How much does an hour cost when you don't work? Macs hardware is more reliable and therefore professionals use Macs.

It's funny how pointing out PC fags misundestandings make them change the topic...

  • Apples hardware isn't even Apples hardware lol shows how much you know they make not 1 product every product designed by Apple is made by a completely different company. Apple makes software.

  • That is not true. I run vista on my macbook pro using both boot camp and parallels. Parallels is not the same as using a regular pc. But bootcamp runs exactly like a pc.

  • Macs are luxurious computers, that's why they're expensive !!

there is no other computers that have a perfect design like this, they are made of plastic and cheap products, we see the joints, etc...

  • macs are cheap.

  • You are a dumbass.

  • And you're out of arguments.

  • The Macbook costs $1099. For $200 more you get 200 MHz boost, 40GB boost, and DVD burner. $200 on top of that, you get blackness and 40 GB.

15" Macbook Pro costs $1999. For $500 more you get 200 MHz boost, 40 GB, and 128MB boost in video card

The 17" Macbook Pro costs $2799. For $300 more you're getting a 2" bigger screen

Mac Mini costs $599 and for $200 more you get 170 MHz boost and 40 GB

Macs are not cheap. Google in dv9500t and see the "ugly" laptop. Open your eyes, dumbass

  • All the prices you mentioned are cheap when you think of the quality you get.

Mac Mini is beautiful small and silent and so are the other too... No PC is as good.

BTW, I had a dv9500t. It was ok for 5 days. Macbook pro got better benchmarks...

You're windows fanboy. go play games...

  • Linux FTW. The Macbook Pro doesn't have better specifications. The only difference being you can upgrade to 1920x1200 for 100 bucks more. Yes its pretty & efficient, but Apple can go fuck themselves if they think they can dominate the computer market by selling a 17" laptop for $2800. I'll stick with my Linux (Windows for games) powered HP 17" laptop for $1700 while you dumbasses spend hundreds more than you should and STILL have to buy Windows to play your PC games. Fuck you.

  • "The Macbook Pro doesn't have better specifications"

Who gives a fuck about the specs. Macbook Pro is the fastest Vista laptop.. People buy it also because it's not just fast and has the best OS, but it's damn stylish...

Noobs buy HPs. You probably buy clothes from K-mart. With Linux nothing works... Tweaking and tweaking... Pro's use pro computers not childrens toys like Linux Ubuntu..

  • Specs are everything. If a 15" laptop today runs on a 3.0 GHz P4 processor and is being sold for three grand it's a ripoff!

You DO realize that Mac owners comprise of 7% of the market and HP is over 20 %.

You are running out of arguments, sooner or later you will realize that Mac needs to open up their OS to the world and bring their prices down in order to compete. Not all laptop owners (in other words 2/3 of the world) are willing to pay 2-3 grand for a pretty computer.

  • Really your hudgly wrong. The MacPro is $2499 base just upgrading from the 2.66ghz duocore to the 3ghz quadcore is $1500 I can buy the chip for 999 at newegg, going from 1 gig of ram to 4 is 699 i can get the same ram at newegg for 250, going from a 250hd to a 750 is 299 i can buy the drive for 150. The dell 30inch monitor is the same monitor for 1400. Apple is hudgly overpriced, dont be fooled do your research. I love apple but forget wasting money.

  • Thank you! Finally someone that gets it. Though if you're not building a PC (or don't want to risk it) the Mac Pro is actually cheaper than the Dell and HP workstations. The Xserve is competitive as well but XRaid gets spanked. Making PCs always cheaper than buying it :)

  • Really the macpro is still overpriced the macbookpro is the most cost effective and only real cost effective purchase right next to a macmini that a consumer can buy from apple, great products but apple gouges the hell out of people.

  • i agree apple computers are nice but to expensive, and i heard you can't update the imac computers software wise.

  • Nope. It's the hardware that you can't update. The software updates can just be downloaded. Macs suck though.

  • Mac Mini specs are:

    1.83Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

    1GB RAM

    64MB VRAM

    80GB HDD

    Gigabit Ethernet

    Airport Extreme

    CD-RW, DVD-ROM

    Costs $599

BTW, it doesn't come with monitor, keyboard or mouse but you can use the ones you have

  • Oh you wanna play? Alright then: HP s3200t series: 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB RAM 64MG VRAM 250 GB HDD Gigabit Ethernet 802.11 b/g wireless LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW 15-in-1 memory card reader HP keyboard and HP scroller mouse Costs $589.99 Granted the Mac Mini takes less energy, but I don't care this is 10 bucks cheaper and comes with a hellova lot more
  • yeah, but the Mac Mini has better quality, also, the price was $589.99 but since the Mac Mini comes with speakers you had to add $30 bucks, lol, besides, no one uses memory card readers, and Airport Extreme is better than the one that the Hp comes with, also, you had to add $160 for Vista Ultimate since it's the only version of Windows that comes near to Mac , so the final price is: $780, OWNED

  • Add 30 bucks for keyboard and mouse for the Mac mini, you're an idiot if you think people that have cameras (aka damn near everyone) don't use a memory card reader. Airport Extreme IS 802.11g wireless and no, you don't have to add Vista Ultimate because Premium comes with Aero. And even if you do get it to $780 bucks if you want Ultimate that badly, it is still 20 bucks cheaper than the higher end Mac Mini and you get a faster processor, more HDD, a 16x DVD burner rather than 8x. PWND

  • + you get a noisy and ugly computer that can't run OSX

  • People use usb cable to take their photos. You have been pwned so many times,,,

  • You serioursly comparing those?

Mac Mini is small and silent and beautiful that crap you s3200 is opposite and consumes a lot of energy=money.

memory card reader, hahaha, who uses those, hahaha

And yeah, it doesn't run Leopard... the best OS

  • if you do your research you would find that this is not the 4th generation but the 6th generation imac

  • I might get an iMac if i do good in school

  • Well then I would suggest for you to do good in school ;D

  • pretty cool except the built in cam i've heard that computers with built in cams are bad because ppl can see you and wut you doing when ever they want so i might not get it

  • Very impressive. I and just about every one I talk to are planning on purchasing a new imac when Leopard comes out. Between the new ipods, imac, iphone, and leopard for this last part of the year coming out, it will be mayhem at the Apple stores from late October until Christmas. I still plan on see the imac first hand before buying due to issues with the glare and the lcd. If it checks out ok I will most definitely buy one.

  • But all that software you can get for free (LINUX!) and only PC illiterate people get viruses. You need the five pillars of PC online pwnage (all free):

    1) Ad aware (wipes ad spam off computer)

    2) AVG Free Edition (virus protection)

    3) Zone Alarm (firewall)

    4) Peer Guardian 2 (keeps eyes away)

    5) Mozilla Firefox with Adblock Plus (nuff said)

There is absolutely NO justification for the prices of Macs (the iPhone costs 220 dollars to make!)

  • In my opinion, the design, support, and OS make the price justifiable. That and not having to use 1-4 on your list.

  • Justification: Profit

Profit: The reason 99% of everything in north america is sold/produced.

  • There's a fine line between profit and rip off, and Apple is trying to balance on that line and not doing so well. Economics aside, I'm calling bullshit when you have to pay $2800 dollars for a 17" laptop when you can buy it from HP for over a thousand dollars less and nearly 2000 dollars less when can just make it.

  • liar, the HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment Notebook PC costs $2,999 and has: 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, a 20.1" display, 256MB ATI HD 2600 XD, Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection and Bluetooth, SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW and a 240GB HDD, the Macbook pro costs $2,799 and has: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 17" glossy widescreen display, 256MB NVidia GeForce 8600GT, AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless IEEE 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 8x slot-loading SuperDrive and 160GB HDD,

  • Thats a 20.1" laptop you dumbshit I was talking about the dv9500t series. Its a 17" HP laptop with Vista Premium, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 1680*1050 display, 2 GB RAM, webcam/fingerprint reader and webcam, 240 GB HDD, Lightscribe and 8x DVD +/- RW, High capacity 8 cell battery and One year Accidental Damage Warranty (spill, drop, fall, collision, electrical surge, or any other accident) for $1728.98. Why in the hell would I compare a 17" laptop to a 20.1" laptop?

  • oh yeah an a/b/g/n wireless with bluetooth

  • and 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS with HDMI out

  • with the two things that you added the price goes up to $1900 but, to have all the stuff that you said you need to customize it, the webcam that comes with the HP is crap quality plus why waste $2000 dollars for a computer that will last 2-4 years when the Macbook Pro costs $2800 and lasts from 7-10 years, so if you compare, on the long run the PC will always be pricier.

  • Actually I didn't add those those were included and I forgot to mention. Webcam I have no idea which one is better I've never used them. 2-4 years all depends on how you use your laptop. I plan to use my laptop for at least a decade and I've had my 17" HP beast for over 2 years and didn't have to reformat it. I'll take my chances with PC and wait for Mac to come out with a more realistic price for their computers.

  • well, if you want your compute to last for over a decade then don't buy a PC, i had an HP Pavilion 3 years ago and it only lasted 4 years because it had hard drive problems and it also had some problems with the motherboard, Apple is a little more pricey sometimes because like you should know, good quality costs, btw, the iMac is a high-end computer, did you know that Apple makes also a mid-entry computer: Mac Mini, it only costs $599 but it has great features

  • Just buy the ugly laptop then and don't whine when it's broken in 2 years...

  • HP laptops are not ugly and they last a decade so stfu

  • Haha. They're but ugly and so are their users. Uuugly!

  • Price is what KILLS me about Macs. If they were just cheaper (a LOT cheaper) then I'd get it

  • Consumers can run Windows Vista on this, right?

  • yes.

  • the keyboard is nice and thin a faster response time because the keys are a lower profile, and if u think that apple has not charged there design waht mor can they do what u have now is basically the moniter and key board and mouse u cant get any less unless it is touch screen i give the new imac a 9 out of ten

  • actually you can have and extraordanary gaming experiance on it but its the gameing companys fault for not making games for it, as for the glossy screen can be a glare problem but i am confadant apple will have an option in the future,

  • I like the look of the keyboard, but I still like my high big keyboard buttons. They feel sturdy and help me type better.

I think the iMac looks great, but the keyboard, and glossy finish on the screen ruin it for me. Plus it's not a gaming machine, and you can't upgrade it.

I'm still a Windows user for now.

  • I don't understand why apple doesn't make a split ergonomic keyboard. They are so superior to normal keyboards.

  • Can't you plug in a ergonomic keyboard?

  • I don't have an apple computer, but I don't understand why they don't make one, since it's superior to the row layout. Just seems natural that they would have started making all keyboards like that long ago, but they haven't even made 1 ergonomic keyboard apparently.

  • you still can make windows run on it just for playing the games ... ? A windows on a machine who looks great ! But not only , And for everything else , use the Mac OS ... ?

  • Well, as tastes differ... I think it's quite a stunner! I've worked with the aluminum G5 and Pro's and they're tough as hell. I get the feeling this one won't let me down either.

And anyway, who does upgrades anyhow? I just sell my old mac every couple of years and buy a new one. I bought the iBook G4 for I'm writing this on for 1400 a couple of years ago, and I'm selling it for 650. That's about half of my new iMac.

    Gotta love it.

  • I have one, It is the best computer I have purchased ever.

  • como a apple atualiza a geração do imac e mantém o processador da geração anterior? inadimissível...

  • there's like this generation of people out there who are so pushing for games on macs i really don't understand it.....

The feeling of achievement from doing something creative be it making a web app, working in photoshop or editing a movie is far greater than the feeling you get from beating someone at a game. (the above statment excludes streetfighter 2 on the snes)

  • I totally agree, it's too bad a lot of people don't realize this.

  • all i can say is, BLEH! its ugly! they should of made it just a all black glossy/matte iMac. blah!

  • Some don't like seeing the color black too much; people have different preferences.

  • Well actually, its not a G4, the correct term would be G7, the G5 was the G5, the G6 was the intel, the G7 is this. Great vid.

  • Ah, very good analysis. Bravo.

  • why glass??? if you look around about this you realize that it really is a glossy screen. you cant put a pro theme into the same old design w/ bent cradle neck and chin. Now on top of that there's this weird black plastic border and then grey border around that with worse screen. much much better but still a disappointment for me b/c now I have to consider this (macbook/pro or imac).

  • I expected a more radical departure in design from the old one as it was due for an overhaul for a long time. It still looks great and they managed to make it even thinner. Something funny of the video I noticed. The audio of the video is a beat slower than the actual video, so it seems like an English-dubbed version.

  • all what i can say is WOW....

    i have macbook pro

    2.33ghz dual core 2 duo

    3gb ram

    250GB hdd

    256 ati grhaphics card,

Cant wait to get the upcoming ones :D:D:D:D

good review i give it two thumbs up..

  • show off.

  • first and i want one sooo bad
