ad a straight man i think steve strange just amazing and so talented,im a big dance music fan and he and visage was on a par with kraftwork as their influence you can still hear today in popular dance culture
What's with the pathetic homophobic jibes? Visage were one of the coolest looking and sounding bands of their era and indeed they still are. Sad little people...
Lol at morons obsessed with sexual orientation in music. How many of these jock clowns do you want to bet are fans of supposed macho cock rock like Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Twisted Sister? Fans of these bands are the SAME as those who dismiss New Romantic musicians as "effeminate", LOL. (Funnily, the source of inspiration for the these bands' images actually overlapped with New Romantics).
@varsume you find a lot of you "normal dressed narrow minded" pleb scum are a bunch of repressed closet queers "enjoy bein down wit pub wit the lads" darling xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I think some strangeminded people will understand that 80s was era of new romantic. Whats does new romantic mean? Welcome to wikipedia! That was beatiful colorful style! Singers loved this. But a lots of singers were MEN! But it doesnt mean that they were gays))
notice that this song sounded like that bloody awfull rynolds girls song ive always wonderd if s a w ripped visage off this song was ok prefer mind of the toy personaly
Ha! True. Well, actually the Reyolds Girls song, "I'd Rather Jack Than Fleetwood Mac" sounds like this song. I liked that song - it was a passable pop tune, and was the only significant expression of disgust about the fact that the late 70's and early 80's had produced some incredible music, much of which was over-looked because the baby-boomers were in their first wave of nostalgia, and took most of the following generation with them..
Ya man, me too .. love Visage but .. ugh, why must he mime. I read that Midge Ure got Steve some vocal training early on and even in the studio he was so bad. I guess thats why he mimes at the shows. :(
@Undergroundsoundz for anyone intrested :s i found the tune i was looking for..visage pleasure boys dub mix ..theres a similar version of it as well called pleasure boys remix
you lot stop writing such crap you should be commenting on the music and performance not on sex! get a fucking life and grow up!!! oh and SHUT UP as well
ya and do you think fucking a guy in the ass is normal do you? it's not what nature intended. Ive nothing against gay ppl in fact i have some gay friends. i see their qualities as human beings.
Ya i guess so. These ppl were my idols when i was a kid. Steve Strange is a pretty cool guy though. I'd hang out with Steve. This song is not great. Fade to grey and mind of a toy are the best. Fade to grey is a classic.
Steve Strange - bless him... Read his autobiography perhaps.. dandy Welsh man..and upfront about his homosexuality. He only mentions having sex with men in his autobiography. He had a rough upbringing though and new how to look after himself given he is a dandy...
@sys2074 I was thinking about the same thing, Steve Strange as Bowie are the least gay people in the world, sure that they have fucked more girls than duran duran & spandau ballet together!!
Visage were a truly state-of-the-art concept for the time. They were innovative and produced very distinct early eighties dance music.
It is well documented that Steve was not the greatest natural singer (hence many 'play back' performances). Focusing on this though - is missing the point... Visage were a studio group not a live 'guitar' type band.
Regardless of Steve's singing ability, his vocal (whether seriously crafted by Midge Ure or not) is an essential ingredient of the Visage sound.
VISAGE ... to early for this world of the 80s ... you have only look the folks around the stage, there is no moving with that Visage-Sound ... strange for them in this time ... but today???
Visage....fantastic !! Rusty and Billy Currie were at least 10 years ahead of everyone in the global music scene... they were musical profits..... true futurist visionaries
This is cutting edge art/music. The Tube was superb, it fuelled a 1000 bands, fantastic times. As for doing that today, I think attitudes have changed. It is difficult to be that radical today where everything has been done before.
well if its so gay why are you watching it then alsatiancousin1 you fucking pleb cunt, hey your cousin is calling go mate with it you pleb wanker Visage is cool and you are a normal pleb fool
hahaha it's totally playback ;) you can see it (for example 2:24 - Steve tries to sing and you can't hear anything). By the way I love Pete and I love Visage! God bless 80's!

randomly this is a hip hop classic as dj's like whiz kid used to double this tune up centering on the passage that opens and closes this footage, i'm still trying to get a 2nd copy for cuttin' but that beats only on the 12" and only so many hundred were pressed BAH! used t'love poppin' to this tho
