  • you melted so quick

  • @BaronTullett

I asked a reasonable question "What did I do?" to upset him but received nothing but threats in response. Clearly this man could have been capable of anything so I simply changed tack and tried to placate him. Did I want to fight him? No. Did I understand what upset him? No. Could I guess how many others were in the car to back him up? No. So, with little time to consider options I chose to try to avoid violence and my approach worked: we both went home without injuries.

  • @OpenScars88

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time I think. Every other day I've passed through this junction in exactly the same way, shoulder-checking, signalling, giving way as needed, I have had no problem whatsoever from anyone. Not knowing what set this man off I tried to avoid fighting and luckily he didn't follow through with his threat of violence.

  • Skinny little cockney Muppet.

  • He did the right thing to apologise because then he can use the footage like this. If he'd attacked him back, they'd both be in the wrong. Doesn't mean he pussied out

  • @DownWithTheCrumpets

Thanks for commenting. I was convinced he was about to throw that punch and surprised that he did not. If it was going to come to violence I was not prepared to start it.

  • "Oh sorry sorry, sorry i'm really sorry. Sorry" Yer that shut you up didn't it!

It takes a very special person to produce 1000s of pointless videos of you riding a push bike!

  • he has really bad teeth...

  • Oh sweet jesus. Stick up for yourself mate, As soon as you saw that faggot, you should have gotten off your bike sprinted towards him and fucking kicked the shit out of him. Wtf is wrong with you? To the bloke in that twatty cap: If you're reading this you ugly dumbfuck, PLEASE MESSAGE ME AND WE CAN ALL GET TOGETHER TO RE-ENACT WHAT HAPPENED. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE message me. I'll fucking tear your cunting head off you fuckugly cunt.

  • @gallente4TW Not sounding funny, but while the prick deserves to get the shit kicked out of him, in his situation you think its wise with more of them in the car? No.

  • I would have probably knocked him out in self defence. I guess my mother was right to send me karate haha.

  • lolll you shit ur pants ahahahhaahha

  • I say what a frightfully offensive type of fellow, did you see his teeth? I think his mother took a shine to his uncle! What, what!!!

  • Day'

  • Just another say in London

  • next time head butt him with your helmet and try to crack his skull. It would he hilarious and it would make an awesome viral video.

  • He looks like Andy Capp. He deserves slap

  • @kentcyclist

Yes, I've read your views on urban cycling and much as I enjoy a good long country ride myself, my workplace is in Central London and I commute by bike. "Shouldn't have done that" what? Check the road was safe, give a clear signal and move into the RH lane? Turn right on the RAB? Check and signal before exiting the RAB? Placate an irrational most likely violet man?

  • @kmcyc

I cycle in London. Im just teasing

  • WOW! that guy is mean... and to think that he actually had the audacity to get the fuck out of his car when he could of just fucking drove off... the nerve...

  • @truegangsta12345

Actually, he got out of someone else's car. He was a passenger and the driver drove off.

  • Has there been a result of this one yet?

  • @IRDUG

To the best of my knowledge this man has not been found by the police as yet.

  • Hell what drugs was this moron on? I mean you were only trying to get from a to b as quickly and efficiently as you could, you did nothing wrong. Next time, liverpool kiss this chav scum for the sakes of removing another moron from the gene pool!

  • Bloody hell that was nasty. Very well done for staying calm and not retaliating. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Sometimes it is best to back down and calm the situation despite how tempting it is to just deck a prick like that.

  • @2FlatErics

    Thank you.

  • Perhaps @kmcyc could shed some light on my previous comment, am I correct in saying that he was nicked and sent to court? Not sure if it's this one or someone elses video where that happened, maybe magnatoms.

  • @WhyYouJelly

To the best of my knowledge this man has not been found by the police as yet. I think you may have been thinking of another similar incident. Sadly there were a number of videos involving unprovoked violence against cyclists last summer.

  • @kmcyc Ah right cheers, it must have been someone else then. I saw a similar video on the news where a man raises his arm back as if he was going to strike a cyclist and was caught and convicted of causing fear of violence. It's amazing how vexed some people can get over such a trivial road issue. Fair play to you for staying calm, hopefully the police will catch this moron and charge him.

  • I'm sure I saw this on the news or something. Can't remember where it was, but I recognise the car and the driver from some sort of report. As far as I remember he was found guilty at court of assault.

  • @CycleNH and then get arrested for possession of an offensive weapon. We aren't allowed to carry anything that defends us in Britain.. The law clearly implies we have to just suffer the abuse :/

  • you should have just waved them by or blown a kiss at them. what an ugly pikey you reeled in.

  • i find this so funny when i read this bit

    tinyurl dot com/3pdtf7p

"A Met spokesman said: "An allegation has been made. No actual assault took place but it is being looked at in terms of a public order offence.""

so even thought its very clear the agressor pushed and i then believe grabs hold of kymc by the clothing, it seems if you did this to a cop a public order offence would easily have taken place, bu when its a pubic member it doesnt apply so much.

  • @Mathewmartialart pubic member ay??

  • @hego307 as in member of the public

  • i thought u were gonna go the wrong way on the roundabout but you did nothing, whats this guys malfunction?

  • Never underestimate the power of cycling shoes vs a groin. What I don't get is what this guy`s problem was.

  • The camera is great if you are going to report it to the Police.

This has happened to me before which is why I carry a baton in my back pocket, get off the bike, draw your weapon in defense and start walking towards THEM... that changes the situation somewhat, especially when they realise you are bigger than they are...

  • @STUEYTTS All that's gonna happen there is that eventually you're gonna come across a proper nutter, who may have just wanted a slanging match, but will happily rise to the challenge (and easily win) of a fight with a weapon or maybe even just hit you with his car. You with a baton would make those type of people laugh and justify to themselves the horrid beating you're gonna end up receiving. There are many of these people out there so please be careful. Ride away quickly and use your sense.

  • @STUEYTTS Good luck when you get arrested for carrying an offensive weapon.

  • I reckon he was on drugs he didn't look normal at all. Need some anger management to! Also for people saying the cyclist should not have reacted, i'd like to see YOU in a situation where someone shouts abuse at you from a passing vehicle! He also did the right thing by backing down. Scum like him would have punched the cyclist so he defused the situation

  • i would have stabbed tha khunt if he done that to me

  • Cyclists have every right to use a roundabout.

However, this man has anger issues and needs to sort them out. If he doesn't he could end up in a lot of trouble.

He may have had a bad day, or whatever, but this is the kind of person who will one day end up giving himself a heart attack.

Personally, you shouldn't mouth off at the man in the first place. Let him be for what he is, he isn't your problem. Safe cycling.

  • Should have said this to him: watch?v=MSHaCzb3yYk

  • bite his nose off !!

  • Oooooooo did you report him....... and waste more of our tax payers money with your stupid self inflicted problems..... If you dont want a confrontation then keep your gob shut..!!

  • @MegaTheloneranger the guy was shouting stuff out the window before he even said one word....... sending you to school was a waste of taxpayers money, seen as how you cant even figure that out.

  • have the police managed to catch up with this fella?

  • @kmcyc Serious tip here - If this ever happens again, karate chop the man's throat right in the adam's apple. He will choke, weeze for air and go down and you can cycle away (or run if on foot). I've had to do this once in my life (cycling in Birmingham) and it worked.

  • @McL0vable hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha. spot the man who has never had a fight in their life.

  • @Cityside90 That's exactly right I have never had a fight, I floored the guy in 1 hit and cycled away.....

  • @McL0vable hahahaha, why lie? karate chop to the windpipe, i mean come on!

  • @Cityside90 Guess you've never had it done to you then.

  • hahaha, you absolutely shit yourself mate. another keyboard commando who gives it big on the internet, but when confronted by one of these big bad motorists, you just apologise and piss your pants. he should have destroyed you mate.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cityside90 hahaha ...this made me laugh "oo im sorry, im very sorry" ahhhh hahaha

  • @Cityside90 well said :)

  • @Cityside90 keyboard commando? hes out there every day filming this shit.... hes not making threats to anyone....you are the only one suggesting anything violent should happen, oh and look YOU are saying it using a KEYBOARD.

  • too bad i didn't have a camera when some asshole cut me up on a MAIN road even though i had right of way as they were pulling out onto the main road to go across to another side road, and i was doing the speed limit and not only did he cut me up he stopped in front of me too, i obviously held back as i had no idea what he was gonna do as in both instances of him cutting me up and pulling away he never used his indicators.

  • Why did you not twat the cunt?

  • What a piece of santorum.

  • lol " aww sorry sorry, im really sorry, please dont hit me :("

    [Inbetweeners quote]

  • Surely this is report worthy?

  • @Damian2257

Yes it is and yes it was reported.

  • you soon shut up when a big man threatens you. no saying your on camera to his face is there.

  • @videogameaddic1001

I think the time for mentioning the camera had well and truly passed when he confronted me. I asked what I'd done to upset him but he wasn't being particularly coherent at that stage. So I opted to apologise for whatever it was he felt I did and that seemed to calm him down. That's good because I did not want to fight him and it seems he did not want to fight me. Result. We both go home without injuries.

  • @kmcyc YOU go home without injuries.

  • @jimmac56

Simply because I don't initiate violence does not mean I won't react when someone hits me. I'm not going to throw the first punch as I prefer to avoid violence but don't assume this means I won't give as good as I get.

  • @kmcyc In all fairness him having a go at you in the first place is not your fault at all, he was entirely in the wrong. But the altercation afterwards arguably is your fault as much as his - this is typical of your videos, someone does something, so you start mouthing off at them about having a camera etc. Like @MegaOptionzTV says you should have just let him be, he's the one who clearly has some issues. And contrary to your comments above I think you came pretty close to a battering there..

  • I agree with everything you said. Summed up all this silly-ness perfectly.

  • @jimmac56 Guy who posted this was a reasonable middle class type. If the chav had bothered me i would have snapped his spindly arms.

  • @jimmac56 where did you come from monkey nuts?

  • @VICTHEREALEST beleave i was here before you so nuts to you!!! nismo nob

  • @kmcyc mate I wish I'm so calm as You WD mate.

  • @videogameaddic1001 yeah, brave in cyberspace, nice.

  • @videogameaddic1001 Where was the ''big'' man?

  • @videogameaddic1001

Meh he's not that 'big' imo.

  • @videogameaddic1001 actually he looks pretty short.

  • @videogameaddic1001 You wouldn't back down then? Kycmc was being sensible.

  • @lanzecki maybe so. but he all up for picking on motorists who wont fight back. but when someone big confronts him, he soon shuts up.

  • @videogameaddic1001 lol 'big man', this video showed him to be more like a fucking knuckle dragging monkey boy more than anythin else, pathetic little cretin

  • Think about this moment next time you chase down and confront a female/small middle aged man like you do in your other vids

  • @mbds42

I do not "chase down" motorists, however if an opportunity presents to speak to them about an incident I will try to inform them what it was that put another road user in danger in the hopes they may learn from the experience and improve their driving. I certainly do not swear at others nor threaten them with physical violence.

  • holy crap, he wasn't a happy bunny, was he?! I hope you showed this video to the police.

  • @dualphone1

No he wasn't happy and yes, I handed this video over to the police.

  • Hmmmmm...you think shouting "your on camera" is gunna save you all the time.

  • @bigness1977

I wasn't sure if he even heard what I said then or not. Generally when I point out the camera, folks begin to think more about their actions and so far, with this exception it has helped to calm things down. But I guess there's always the exception. Perhaps he mis-heard and thought I said something else?

  • I hope they find him and prosecute. I try to avoid verbalizing anything, you never know who you're going to meet. This is where Airzounds etc. come in: you can "voice" your displeasure without it becoming "personal".

  • @xchopp

Possibly but then again, this one was a most unique character. Who knows if an AirZound would have had any different response?

  • this is a road rage incident and does warrant a spell at her majesty's pleasure. you were positioned correctly in the road and your hand signals were correct. in situations like this, you must make distance between yourself and the assailant and your bike is the perfect tool. tried everything with this number plate, going infrared and different colour saturations and contrast, but still couldn't pick it up.

  • @TheJeremyevans

Thanks for your comment and for your efforts in trying to identify the full number plate.

I would have preferred not to have encountered this man but in those brief moments as he was approaching me I reasoned that to continue would mean trying to pass him, he could have pulled me off the bike and I'd have to pass the car not knowing the driver's intention. I had panniers on the bike and didn't fancy my chance of going over the kerb either so decided to stand my ground instead.

  • you should have kicked the fucked out of that chav piece of shit i know i would have

  • This loser can't even hold a fist properly!...

  • What an ugly fucker

  • @wayfarin there's a difference between being an idiot and standing up for yourself....

  • Neg's new urban sport. It's called make a cyclist shit himself....Whoop whoop!

  • What a disgusting individual! You did the right thing to appease the situation, but he needs bringing to justice. Pity your camera didn't get the numberplate - would a goPro camera have recorded a better image of the number plate?

  • @alistairmeek

Thanks for your comment. Until that first punch has been thrown there is always a chance that it won't be, I was lucky this time in that respect. As for getting the plate, I was less fortunate. I don't know if a vastly more expensive camera would have captured a better image of the car and its registration, I would hope that it would have but for me, the GoPro too pricey and too heavy for a helmet mount.

  • @kmcyc

GoPro isn't too heavy to go on a helmet :) ... anyway, without excusing the dangerous half-wit who assaulted you, probably shouting "you're on camera" next time could be missed out - just an idea.

  • @alistairmeek

I'll have to take your word for that re helmet mounted GoPros. It' possible my warning infuriated him further although the mic on my Vehu Muvi is pretty short ranged and I didn't particularly shout. I'm not even certain I was audible from that distance over the wind noise and his own torrent of abuse. IME when I warn people they are on camera, they tend to moderate their behaviour although there is always the exception to prove the rule.

  • flat cap wearing wife beating (i'll drop you like a bitch") cunt

  • I think I would have hit him as soon as he grabbed hold of me, if im gonna get punched im gonna be the first to land one.

  • I love how the cyclist gives it till he grabs him "what you gonna do!" next minute "sorry I'm very sorry" you pussy hahahaha

  • @Jgem1989

I think you mis-heard what I said. What I said was: "What did I do?". I certainly wasn't egging this man on. So I apologised for nothing. Big deal. I did not want to fight and by diffusing the situation, I didn't have to. End result, neither of us got hurt.

  • @kmcyc well said

  • @TheKenney81

    Thanks!

  • @Jgem1989 have you ever been threatened like that? i have and its not nice

  • @Jgem1989

idiots get in fights. sounds like you're an idiot.

  • @Jgem1989 cock

  • lol pussy

  • 2:13 LOL he needs braces

  • Love the "Andy Cap" type of cap that dude was wearing :D

All he needed was a fag in his gob and a big coat and I would have asked him for an autograph

  • Any news from the police at all? (Too pre-occupied dealing with riots I suppose?)

  • @AnalogueAndy

I had a visit from the Police only the other day to give me an update on their investigations. They are taking this matter seriously and are looking for this man.

  • thats why i carry a double-telescoping steel hand pump in my right-hand-side rear pocket. easy to pull it out when i need to, and it does a lot of damage to peoples faces when they abuse me.

  • Could have been worse. I was riding on the sidewalk to keep from the fast cars on the street and was hit by a car pulling out of a restaurant, the woman was driving while hitting her children in the backseat of her van, though she had stopped I figured it was safe to continue but she sped up suddenly and hit me. Then just drove off. It's damn near impossible for me to bike or march in drum corps without having really bad knee pain.

Unfortunately, ignorance has to be dealt with :(

  • His teeth look like the wooden palisade defences they used to surround castles..

  • FUCK I CAN SMELL HIS BREATH THROUGH MY LAPTOP SCREEN LOL.

  • I saw such rage whilst cycling a door's width from parked cars. The van driver behind me needed to wait ten seconds until he could overtake safely. Instead, he forced past me, my hand on his window, then pulled over and ran at me, fists flying. He realised I was a woman and paused. I pedalled round the corner, then got off the bike in shock. He drove up & I had to pick the bike up to stop him running it over, & he screamed "I would have hit you if you'd been a bloke." He had a male passenger.

  • @seahorseoysterfish

Wow. I just read your comment and was appalled at the tale you have to tell. It must have been a terrifying experience. So out of some misplaced chivalry you were not physically assaulted for riding your bike simply because your would-be assailant realised you are female. How on earth do these people manage to obtain and retain driving licences?

A friend of mine, did have his bike run over by a male van driver who laughed and made "serves you right" comments as he did so.

  • @seahorseoysterfish ifi ever saw anything like that happen to a cyclist, whether theyre male or female, i would jump of my motorbike and thrash the living shit out of that poor excuse for a man! cyclists have EVERY right to be on the roadandamajority of the driversdo support you

  • I live just down the road from there and I have witnissed similar events reguarly (I am a motorcyclist) It disgusts me watching people behave like this to two wheeled vehicles, I sincerely hope you reported this to the police. No excuses to threaten someone in this way especially while you are still in the road!!

  • Good grief!!! What was his problem?! I can see nothing that you did to antagonise him

  • I would like to have seen you punch the chav in the face.

  • You may feel safer walking your cycle round on the pavement or verge. If you decide to ride round keeping to the left-hand lane you should

be aware that drivers may not easily see you

take extra care when cycling across exits. You may need to signal right to show you are not leaving the roundabout

watch out for vehicles crossing your path to leave or join the roundabout, maybe just maybe you are at fault too

  • @pillowhead4000 btw this is excerpt from the highway code for cyclists,

  • you shouldnt knocked the guys teeth out

  • Hello again, just got back from me jolly holidays and see all this publicity. Good for you. It's exactly what I would have done. I'm no fighter either but you CAN fight back with other means; if that means using brains not brawn then so be it. Good luck with the hunt!

  • I´m not into fighting too, but fatrakoon is right. You gotta defend yourself from morons like this one. When words don´t work, you gotta protect yourself. And again as said below... why apologize man? Here in Brazil, in Porto Alegre, a stupid fuck with a Golf (VW) runned over some innocent cyclists during a bike protest. He almost killed some people and injured tenths... but as I live in Brasil, nothing happened to that fucker... that´s when the fists should work on his face...

  • This is EXACTLY where you and I differ.

When someone comes towards me, especially after gettign out of a car to come at me, mouthing off like he did. I would have jumped off the bike, ditched the helmet and made dam well sure that he would not get the first punch.

Even if he is a better fighter than I, he would not have walked away cleanly.

Id have gone for him like a bullet, and I have done.

NO-ONE gets away with that childish attitiude... not from me they dont.

  • @LeftHandedAdam - I wouldn't. I'd remain silent.

  • I would've been AS PISSED OFF as that idiot and punch him in the face! But you did the right thing.

  • shocked at some of the comments here. This man is an animal and should either be locked up or referred to a mental health outreach worker.

  • Just curious as to why you felt the need to apologize?

  • absolute nutter

  • Wow, I hope the police get to deal with him.

I ride a push bike and a motorcycle and I have found that there is a lot of disrespect for smaller road users and there seems to be an increase in unwanted gestures and selfish driving.

  • Lot of negative and gung-ho commenting here. I feel the need to say this. You negotiated roundabout well and avoided their recklessness well. You were completely right to avoid confrontation.

The only time someone pulled over to tell me off (unjustifiably of course) I just kept with traffic and overtook them. It's sensible, safe and does provide that minor victory. Shame the lights were red in your case.

  • @protectthehuman

Thanks for commenting, yeah, if only the light stayed green eh?

  • @protectthehuman > The point is: from the moment that white-monkey jumps outta the car to yell on the cyclist, he completely lose the right. Then they say about 3rd world countries and the "civilized" Europe. Is this civilized? This white-asshole-monkey? (yeah I´m white too... so what?). The cyclist is very calm, I think I would´ve defended myself. Not started first, but defend in case words couldn´t protect me.

  • @macchina13

Someone comes at me like that Monkey fucker did, Id have been off the bike, and ready.

He already proved that he is a mental moron by coming at the cyclist, and had he been "Up for it" then the bike and the helmet would be bad news for the cyclist, so Id have put them down before the cunt got near and Id have made sure that I got the first punch in.

Even if he is a better fighter than I, I know that he wont walk away without knowing not to fuck with me again.

  • With this kind of abuse getting more common cyclists need advice about what to do if it happens to you. Having had something similar happen to me I would say:

G1) get off your bike as soon as you're approached

    2) Position your bike between you and an attacker

    3) Watch them trip over the bike while they try to go for you

    4) While they're getting tangled in your bike, run over and nick their car keys. Throw these into a nearby bush

    5) Call the cops

    6) Use VIDEO on your phone to capture everything

  • @hodsgod

I don't like it when cyclists RLJ, etc and have posted some incidents of this type of riding. Sadly it is all too common, I wish that were not the case as it only irritates everyone else, providing some with an ill-perceived justification to have a go at cyclists.

  • What a moron that guy who got out of the car is, the prick needs a good slap.

  • i know this guy and he is no way like this normally, the cyclist must have provoked him somehow i dont know but this guy is normally quite a placid guy from what i know of him

  • @TitchySherriTrifle well in that case you really should let this guy know who he is so he can tell the police. Clearly he isnt a "placid guy" really. Do the right thing

  • @TitchySherriTrifle sure thing bro

  • @TitchySherriTrifle I'm not being funny, but he doesn't exactly seem the 'type' who is "placid". Perhaps he'd care to make a public apology if he really wasn't at fault??

  • RIOT!

  • I wondered why the hell this'd happened and what his problem was.

    Then, I realised.

    *scrolls down page

    Location: Romford.

  • 02:14 only a mother could love that face!

  • I don't mean to sound horrible mate, but what exactly are you trying to achieve by finding out who he is? Even if the police find him they aint gonna do sod all; even if they did and it went to court he'll only get a slap on the wrist from them.

I know he looked like an horrible git, but the best thing you can do is man up... and if it happens again, headbutt him a couple of times with your helmet and drop him. THEN put it on youtube, a million hits later you'll be every cyclists hero lol.

  • Cyclists should not be allowed on the roads until they pay road tax.

  • @RantRaveReviews 1) Roads are paid for out of general taxation; vehicle excise duty (commonly known as "road tax") goes straight to the Treasury. 2) If bicycles were taxed, they would be in Band A, as their emissions are practically zero. That means road tax would be free for bicycles.

(Note that Band A includes a number of small cars and electric cars. Should drivers of those cars not be allowed on the roads until they pay "road tax"?)

  • I hate people that run there mouth and then get scared and say sorry. Usually tree hugging liberal cyclists. Pussy grow some balls

  • @highnine9 Fuck off small man.

  • @RashidDostum 6 ft 2, 14.7 stone Baby

  • Learn to fight or shut up is my advice. That guy needed his teeth spread across the street and you apologised to him. Do the cycling world a favor and pack a knife or a gun and kill the next chav cunt who behaves like that.

  • You made a smart move by just appeasing him. I had a guy like this at work once, threatened to beat the shit out of me for recommending he used the self service tills. Just apologised until he buggered off.

There's no shame in fleeing a battle you know you can't win.

  • @AlexPlaysGames You probably need to speak to your boss
