@CutClip wrong. this was early 1990, 1992 if i'm not mistaken. and this was not a concert satan choreographed. that would be a marylin manson or metallica concert. michael w smith is one of the best christian music artists. and he appeals to all types of music. rock, contemporary, worship, pop, you name it.

Smith's concerts are, without a doubt, in Jesus' name, and I think even a hardened cynic could assume that there are at LEAST two believers at a gathering that size when it has been called together to praise God.

Also, let me ask you a question: how does God judge music? How does He judge the offerings of our gifts?

@CutClip You have a very good point. I see no one in this audience with hands raised in praise and worship to Jesus. This concert is more a form of entertainment for the people. However, I believe over the years MWS's style is leaning more toward the edification of Jesus, praise and worship. On a recent video ( sorry, don't recall the song) it was very evident he was holding back tears....he was deeply moved by the words he sang. All for the glory of God.

Lucifer, we find in the book of Ezekiel, is the highest of God's creatures, perfect in wisdom, beautiful beyond description, a musician. Lucifer is the master deceiver seeking to penetrate the church. By whatever means and whatever way possible. I've notice more of a devotional approach to MWS's program. A deeper Praise & Worship, lifting of hands. The Spirit of the Lord is moving through the people. I will remain vigilant.

I went to this concert when it stopped in Dallas, TX...an absolutely amazing show, this song is one of my favorite's of Smitty's, though I think all of his songs are awesome messages of His Word, Love and Grace. I heard Tony's story of how he ended up on this tour with Michael at a Guardian show in Spring Arbor, MI at in 1995. Guardian wanted to relocate to Nashville, but Tony was the hold out. He prayed and said if God made a way, he would relocate. A night or two later, the phone ran and it was Michael calling to ask if Tony would do the Change Your World Tour with him - a great opportunity and a decent paying gig - only catch... Tony would have to relocate to Nashville... the rest is history.
