And just for arguments sake, the VG30DETT is a very strong engine and produces lots of torque, not much less than the large displacement beasts. And its lighter. @totalglitch as far as dragging goes, there are many "jap cars" that can compete with big v8s on the strip. I know a guy with a 1000hp nissan 300zx who drives it daily to work. Its not a special drag car but i got my money on it over whatever youve got.

It's not all about how much HP you have. A 69 Camaro with 850hp could crush a 1000hp nissan just because of the torque out put on the big block.
