  • Funny, how they knew that the original was #1 in a much larger series in the JP version.

  • this should have been the theme for the game!

  • hey, the waterfall is different. neat

  • wow!

  • is this like the sound chip konami used in its games for famicom like castlevania 3?

  • You made a mistake there

  • You should give the Metroid title theme the same treatment...

  • please do Zelda II

  • Also many idiots were pointing at the picture and they said thts not the correct one, its just a picture so who gaves a sht about

  • wow so many idiots pointing out things on the Famicom Title Screen? All I gotta say that's Lame and people have WAY too much time on their hands

  • omg this sounds epic! I like how you mixed them both at once! This is awesome! It's like they were meant to go together in the first place!

  • @supershadow64ds, your comment is not there, just my username.

  • @Dragonesa41083 Yeah, I accidentally hit Post when I meant to hit cancel. I was really trying to reply to luigitheracoon for being a complete retard, saying that the one on the left isnt real.

  • @luigitheraccon12 That's the Non-FDS version of Zelda no densetsu - don't ask my why, but Nintendo of Japan saw fit to release both a FDS version and a non-FDS version

  • (translated) The Legend Of Zelda 1 And It Says "press start button" On The REAL Version It Said "change to side B!!!!!!!!

  • @luigitheracoon12 ok ok Famicom cart version and the FDS version are original and the same version (difference is the sound), but can you tell me one thing: why you said:"On The REAL Version", THOSE 2 IS THE SAME VERSION DINO SUCK

  • FDS uses custom pulse waves with 64 parts that can have 64 values, not FM. One of the sounds in this one has a bell like shape like an FM but the extra sound chip is really just holds tiny custom wave table.

  • cool

  • wow, these both sound great but sound harmoniously well together!

  • dang dude this sounds good!

  • @mariotehplumber

It's been pointed out a million times. I don't care. And you are an asshole.

  • @Yoshi3000XP and ur a modern moran who doesnt know shit about zelda nub

  • @mariotehplumber "moran" heh heh, the ironing is delicious

  • @Yoshi3000XP Yeah Exactly... who cares I have em both.. So they did the title screen wrong, meh? What are ya gonna do?

  • @mariotehplumber no shit

  • OMG my ears just came!

  • 8-bit + 8-bit = 16-bit? cool

  • Someone should extend this.

  • Who cares? All video game nerds are pedants, we all care :P

  • Wow, mixed together these sound really cool. I didn't know the FDS had a different sound until today. (Also, nice name, Yoshi3000XP. ;D)

  • God I wish there was a way to have a gotten a direct sound port of the jp release.

  • And suddenly, we all know where the future mixes sample came from.

  • Sounds pretty good. Seems to mix together quite well.

  • The japanese version of The Legend of Zelda was released in Japan in 1986 and the north american version of The Legend of Zelda was released in both the U.S., Canada and Mexico in 1987.

  • WOW! The Famicom has more instruments than the NES. These instruments are: Trumpet (With Vibe) Bells, and comparing it to our little console that could. I say the Famicom has a wider variety of instruments.

  • @IvoryGecko1993

It wasn't a matter of instruments, but rather channels. The FDS had one extra channel that allowed for FM Synthesis (similar to the Mega Drive), which allowed for different sounds to be produced.

  • @KomaruMedare The Sega Mark III also has the ability to enhance the sound by attaching the FM sound chip, making it sound nearly like the MD / GEN.

  • @1983parrothead

The Master system (Which was the same hardware) however did not.

  • The Japanese title screen on the left is Japan's rerelease of Zelda 1 in cartridge format, which is exactly the same as the NES version. The FDS version is different. The title screen of the FDS version didn't have a "1" nor "1992" in it.

  • I know, I screwed up. It was the only image of the "Zelda no Densestu: The Hyrule Fantasy title image I could find. Oh well :P

  • @Yoshi3000XP and 1983parrothead, you have the japanese CARTRIDGE version of the title sreen at the left

  • @Yoshi3000XP It was Nes, dont worry.

    :P

  • @Yoshi3000XP Its probaly a GCN Re-Release,Probaly the Animal Crossing Version

  • @1983parrothead OH NOOOOOOO

  • @1983parrothead Everybody knows that there was no sequel when it was originally released. It's like the original cut of Star Wars there is no episode 4 underneath the 1977 theatrical.

  • The years are significantly different in the title screen..Did Japan get two versions of this game?

  • @blues03 yep. their famicom cart one had the title in this video. guy used the wrong title screen

  • @Syndication Thanks

  • Sounds like a synth-remix of the theme.

    ...I love it!!!

  • Why te left picture is of the title of the zelda for famicom if you mix is with the Famicom Disk System version?

  • It's all I could find for the Japanese title screen. Oh well

  • @Yoshi3000XP actualy i think this is nicely well done ^^ n shows the amount of simplicity and ofc how good Japan and Nintendo were at games like this. Especialy in Japan whom were the original makers of the NES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) in the first place.

  • Nice

  • I almost wish the USA version sounded like this.

  • good idea ! ^^

  • THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow that sounds AMAZING!
