the quality seems a bit low. it seems you have il-2 1946 so the graphic improvements should be better but on 0:51 the me-262s wheels should be way more detailed than just black circles

I don't know the true date probably near 2003. It cost me emmm.. 50$ the Luftwafee '46 [its the all in one collection of the game] And ye this game is still VERY popular cause its the most realistic WW2 dogfight game yet! About 700-900 players on Hyperlobby [a program where all servers are based for easier connection, and teamspeak]. I dont really know is it sold in Canada, but keep looking! :) Maybe people are selling it? Check it out.. Hope i helped :D

You should be able to pick up IL2 1946 pretty cheap at best but or on line at gogamer. It's about $20.00 US.

It has the whole series from 2001 through 2006. It comprises the game and 5 add ons.

I'm not familiar with Canada and IL2's availability there, but I can't imagine it's too different than the US.

As convict147 mentioned, Hyperlobby is the place to play online. There are air quake style rooms as well as team co op mission rooms. There are also squads you can join.

I play on XP, but I THINK if you install the game in a NON DEFAULT location and have adminiterial rights you shouyld be able to play it.

Check out the UBI soft IL2 forums. This question is quite frequently asked in the help section, and many play with Vista sans problems.

Best combat flight sim ever built by a mile ... and no you don't need a high spec machine to run it : )

It used to run fine on my old AMD barton 2500+ with 6600gt and 1.5 gig ram although with anything better which is almost any desktop these days you can crank the settings and still get great frames.

yh, compared to other ww2 sims, this sim takes the least hardware to run good and stable, I ran it at full with AMD 3000+, 1024 mb ram, and GeForce 7800 GT, now I run it at full, with effect mods, enhanced graphics, etc etc. with 4200+, 2048 mb ram, geforce 8800 gtx (Though im sure i could run it at full with all of theese effect mods with just my 7800 as well, just not at as high framerates.) so if anyone doesnt know what ww2 sim to get, IL-2 is so obvious an answer.
