Wing Chun is one of the best Martial arts! Efficient and effective! Iv spent most of my childhood and teen life practicing Wing Chun. But last year I started doing Jeet Kune Do which also involves the heavy usage of Wing Chun Kung Fu. It just seemed like the best next step to take!
It´s always hard to tell if the "concept and technics" tought at certain school are "good" or not so good, especially if you have no knowledge about the topic yet.
But i would just go there and check it out. Schools schould normally have a free "take-a-look"-lesson for interested people (don´t know what´s the correct english term for this, but you know what i mean).
And then talk to the chief-instructor. You should be able to ask questions as soon as you have any - and (...)
(...)the instructor should be friendly and patient and take enough time to explain what you want to know until you have correctly understood (some technics are not suitable for beginners so answers like "I´ll show you later"or"you ain´t ready yet" can appear, but he´ll explain that to you).
I think it´s very important you have a friendly relationship to the "master".
And of course you can take a look at where he has his knowledge from. He will proudly tell you, if legit!
The girl has very strong core. Once the enemy pulls her arm, he is like hitting himself right onto a large tree. Even though the real power can hardly be seen on screen, but if you focus on the girl's waist, you can realize her power.
Can't recommend the International Wing Chun Academy in Aust enough. A solid core of Masters who learnt from Sifu Jim and are keeping with what they have learnt. A1. Go Palmy!
@empirewings excellent, i rolled with hid dad jim at the gold coast just after it was opened, i'm glad to see him following his father jim, he was a great man. I actually remember tristan and his sister coming in with his mum once when jim was visiting, and when i saw the vid i paused thinking he looked like jim in the face, they are fond memories, anybody who is thinking of taking up wing chun, it is worth it, you'll be three times as fast as a boxer easily, and the atmosphere is beautiful
Very well put together video & solid demonstration of wing chun skills. I like that the instructors & students are in sparring gear so techniques can be executed at near to full speed. Does Sifu Fung ever give seminar in the US? If so, please sign me up!
Very sorry to say that Sifu Jim unfortunately passed away in 2007. His teachings are however carried on by his students at the IWCA who are very grateful for what we've learnt.
Perhaps an details of an affiliatated school in the US might be found if you contacted the academy via its website?

How does this center line theory work against an opponent that is continuously moving?

@aaeettee1
isn´t the main idea explained at 4:12 ?
I´m unsure if your question is enough explicit or defined to bring you a satisfying answer (or i just didn´t get it)

I have never seen the principles of wing chun kung fu taught so correctly and in depth than from grandmaster Yip Man himself
