This drive had several platters, with a read/write head assigned to each side of each platter, if that's what you're asking. But I also notice in the video that it doesn't seem to use the inside portion of the disc for anything. It just might be that there's not data there that it needs.
i think this drive is a QUANTUM because of his chassis.
