For some reason, this particular translation really means a lot to me. I can relate to it so well, since my girlfriend and I have what people would call a "socially unacceptable relationship". Age, location, gender, race...everything. Yet, we try to do what Miku and Luka did: we disregard the 'haters' and continue on. No matter who says what, we will prevail.

And...just that connection made me want to cry. And I did. So, I applaud you for making me cry over something I've never cried over before

Well, I like the lyrics better than the original. (Of course I judge the original by the existing subs).

The original mseems to use strong words like "love unforgiveable", apparently fetishizing the fact that it's somehow considered wrong. (That, or the fansubbers screwed up).

You removed nearly all of this, leaving two completely justifiable references ("they think we're too young" and "this may be a sin").
