No more dangerous than opening your car window on the freeway. They are only a few thousand feet up, in an unpressurized plane, and flying about as fast as a cessna single engine. Next time you go up in a cessna, open your window at about 4000 ft :)
In the 60's while in the Air Force, I got to fly on the Gooney bird, and in a long flight we would open the rear door , smoke, then toss the butts out,,,
only time i had a chance to photograph niaraga falls was from a northwe st757 from aboubt 31,000 ft going from lga dtw. even from that altitude it came out rather well.
Dude your videos are off the freakin chain! I LOOOOVVVVEEEE the DC-3, it's by FAR my fave plane. I'm not a pilot, but I fly the hell out of one on FSX. Thanks for the kick ass vids and keep 'em coming!
Great photos might wanna be careful tho, I bout lost my phone 2000 ft up in a glider. Might seem harmless but a samsung Juke from 2000 ft is guaranteed to fuck ur world up.
that must be pretty low to be able to open a window without much happening, i rember a time i went in the cockpit, cant remember what plane it was, we were at like 10,000 feet and pilot opened the window, i was lucky i was sitting in the jump seat lol my brother got knocked over by the wind
Oh man thats so cool...Im jealous! Way to go F4F...Thanks for all the cool videos and a small glimpse at what other pilots are doing nationwide. I had to break down and get my fixed wing license so I can travel a bit more.
Haha...it would be sooo funny if he dropped his camera:P

Not too bright holding the camera out the window without having the strap secured around his neck. He finally decides that it would be a good idea,

I did the exact same thing several months ago (minus the nice airplane). Good fun!

The genius decides it a great idea to open up the window a few thousand feet up.

The DC-3 is an unpressurized airplane. To get anything resembling a good photo, you have to open the windows. It's a rather common thing to do...

Thanks...It is alot of fun, but not very economical for longer flights. Fly safe!

It was nice to hear the sound of those old radials again. My uncle's brother has one, N130Q, the one with floats on it! Anyway, great videos.

Does this DC-3 have a shiny metalic finish on it? If yes, then I saw it flying this circuit while I was at work down below!
