@arabellla123 Read the comic 'Arkham Asylum' that right there is a much better portrayal of The Joker's insanity. Ledger was good, but he didn't even scratch the surface of the Joker's insanity. Ledger was the best on screen version of The Joker, but he is not even on the same level as the comic book versions of the character.

I've never met anyone who's read a Batman comic that considers Ledger to be the definitive Joker. He was one of the most tame versions of that character.

@JOKAWILD26 Just finished a fanmade Batman film noir called Gotham City Knights. It takes place during WW2, not quite Sin City but it would be R rated. There is extreme use of profanity, violence, and gore, it is heavy on the dialogue like a Tarantino but builds suspense while diving into the dark psyche of many characters. I hope you check it out when it's released.
