they had a nationwide vote 5 yrs ago for the greatest ever british movie actor and sir tony hopkins was number 1. for me is is by far the greatest british movie asctor ever. as much as i love burton, finney, he is the best. as for olivier he was the greatest ever stage actor but it didnt quite translate to movies the same way. maybe just different era who knows, theyre all legends its hard to compare but if we do compare hopkins is the best
