Rin had died in a accident, possibly a car accident from walking on the cross walk. And so Len goes to the park near where she died and mourns about it, making comments like the sky was just like that day she died, until he remembers it's her birthday. And he constantly says soliloquy which is when a character is talking to himself and reveals his feelings to the audience-He's sad that Rin had died and he wished her birthday had just passed without him noticing.At the end he kills himself.

I think Ren died in a car accident like, got hit by a car, and it was near the park where Len was singing. And of course he was there for no reason but later remembers it's a her birthday and he knows that he's talking to himself since she is with him anymore. At the end he walks out into the road when the red for pedestrians to stop comes up and he possibly dies by a hit from a car also. So in other words, Rin dies in some way(I prefer my first opinion) and Len kills himself the same way.
