I lived through the recession, and it was caused by bush funding a war we the citizens wanted nothing to do with, that lead into it. Not just lenders and CC comps. They may have played a part, as well as the banks, but a lot of people who lived through that moment will tell you it was bush's fault. He kept throwing more and more of our money at a war. Plus he borrowed so much money from china we may never be able to pay back. What will we do when they demand it all back? Go to war with them?

Making the fine print BOLD on credit card applications and loan applications still won't detail how anyone borrowing will ultimately have compound interest rates working against them by allocating their future earnings to pay back the debt which will limit their ability to make future purchases. Americans will only experience true financial peace when they minimize their borrowing. That is why I recommend that everyone, including our President, read Dave Ramsey's book, "Financial Peace!"

Lets get liberated, and not oppressed. If It was not for his fresh vision we would be so messed up now. People think It's socialism but man are you wrong. we need to control the ship because it's a sinking. Regulations are needed for this so get with It people. GOP Same story year after year. The record is stuck on the turn table with them, and they're not playing CD's yet. VHS tapes 2 OMG get with It.

@ksks69 we need to control the sinking ship by creating jobs, not wasting money on green programs and other non essential government programs. its not socialism its just putting money in the machine and not getting your candy or your money back then some else walks by and gets a free candybar. A small business bill? a lending fund? they can't hire anyone right now most are just trying to stay afloat. Obama has to swallow his pride & help the big corporations because thats who hires most people.
