OK let me rephrase. Case in point, the Goo Goo Dolls. First album before they were signed, their back up singer was the main singer, they had a harder sound and were completely different than what they are now. Someone hears them, sees the talent, signs them but only if they mellow out and change their music, they decide to sell out and do just that. I'm sure you know everything there is to know about the music industry, but someone who admires Katy Perry is not someone I care to listen to.
