Hello, my boyfriend had the idea to make a pie and I have never heard of one before., so we used your recipe and it turned out great..I can't eat it cause its to sweet my son loves it. Thanks for the upload.
if you buy pre-made frosting (like pilsbury) and put it in a blender, you can blend a lot of air into the frosting so you get twice as much. would this work for your pie filling?
@drinkupXgorgeous I eat anything I like, but I am very conscientious about eating only small portions of anything with a lot of calories. I mainly eat egg whites, tuna, and lots of fruits and vegetables.
I made this pie two days ago. We don't have whipped topping in Australia, so I used whipped cream with a little icing (confectioners) sugar and vanilla extract. It came out beautiful! I froze it first, then brought it up to refrigerator temp. Thanks Betty!! xx
If I refrigerated this overnight do you think it would be set up enough to serve the next day? Love your recipes, Betty. I've made so many of them and they are ALL so good! Thank you for sharing them with us. :)
theres a paula deen vid of this pie too, and whats interesting is that she used twice the quantities of the peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar (hers had no milk), and it fit in the same size pie crust. maybe it was denser than this one? but it did also appear lighter in color
Wow that was sooooo lovely! I actually went out to buy all the ingredients for this and I will DEFINITELY make this first thing in the morning (it's like...1:41 in the morning now whoops hhaha) Thank you so much for sharing this!
@darkroge Yes, you may use whipped cream. To make it more like whipped topping, you need to sweeten the whipped cream. You may use sugar or artificial sweetener.
This has to be one of my favourite desserts that you have done. I made this on Saturday for friends who came round for dinner and they loved it. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
I made this tonight for my bf and his family, they absolutely adored it. I followed your ingredients, and as an added flare, i melted some Baker's chocolate and coated the inside of the pie crust with a thin layer, and freezed it before adding the filling. IT WAS DELIGHTFUL. and OHHHH SOOOO easy to make.

looooooooove this recipee and plan on giving it a try at some point - but i wonder if i can subsitute cool whip for real whipped cream or canned "real" whipped cream?
I made the pie with full fat ingredients and crushed up butterfinger candy on top, and it was soooo good. I'll be making it again soon, need to use up that other half of cream cheese, and can't think of a better way to use it.
No, whipped topping is *sweetened* whipped cream. you can make it yourself by whipping some heavy whipping cream, and then sweetening it with the sweetener of your choice! Thanks for your question!
Strange, but I never heard of a Peanut Butter Pie. Is it a Southern thing? Anyway, it looks and sounds absolutely delicious and I'm going to give it a shot Wedhesday after I go shopping.
@Ragrog105 Do you live in New England?:)Yes,peanut butter pie is a very southern thing.I had one pie recently and it was just p b,no whipped stuff added to it.
I did a little research and found there is a Meijer store in Lexington. The Meijer brand makes a FF, sugar free, ice cream, that tastes better than any regular that I've had. I just love it! Hardly any calories!! Maybe you would want to pick some up when you're in Lexington?! Sally ; )
@ilandusername But then we will lose here here, and a lot of us don't have cable, or like me, not even a television. But I actually do agree with you. (Sigh)
Hi Mrs. Betty!! I love watching your vids. I wanted to know if you would consider making a Butter Pecan Cake with Butter Pecan Frosting? My aunt would make it during hte holidays. She recently passed and I would love to know how to make one.
WOW!!!!!!! This tasted SO good! Thanks! =D My family really liked the sugar amount - it wasn't too sweet, but it was sweet enough. :)

Some members of my family have given up chocolate for Lent.

What do you think?

I substituted cashew butter for the PB, since my mom's allergic to it, and I crushed some pistachios and sprinkled them on top as a garnish.
It turned out beautifully!
Thanks so much for the recipe!
