  • if you buy pre-made frosting (like pilsbury) and put it in a blender, you can blend a lot of air into the frosting so you get twice as much. would this work for your pie filling?

  • @knightsintodreams I've never tried that, but I think it probably would work!

    --Betty :)

  • I'm glad to see I'm not the only peanut butter lover. I swear, I could peanut butter with anything from celery to chocolate cream pie.

  • god how do u stay so skinny?!

  • @drinkupXgorgeous I eat anything I like, but I am very conscientious about eating only small portions of anything with a lot of calories. I mainly eat egg whites, tuna, and lots of fruits and vegetables.

    --Betty :)

  • so yummy! thanks, betty!

  • Your could drizzle chocolate syrup and carmel syrup over it.

  • Hi Betty, is is necessary to use powdered sugar or can i just use granulated?

  • Hi Betty! i'm planning to make this pie today but i do not have whipped topping where i live. So can i whip up some fresh cream as a substitute?

  • @nikiandkinda Yes, whip some cream and sweeten it to taste.

    --Betty :)

  • I made this pie two days ago. We don't have whipped topping in Australia, so I used whipped cream with a little icing (confectioners) sugar and vanilla extract. It came out beautiful! I froze it first, then brought it up to refrigerator temp. Thanks Betty!! xx

  • @analilly2 Thanks for your wonderful feedback! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty, thank you so much! In England, we don't have whipped topping (that I know of) what can I use as an alternative?

  • @lilbunnykaty You can whip some whipping cream and sweeten it to taste.

    --Betty :)

  • THATZ TO DIE FOR!!!!!!

  • how do you make such delicious desserts and yet stay so thin and beautiful?

  • @brunaleskim I eat a bite of every dessert I make, but I restrict myself to small portions of anything that has a lot of fat or sugar.

    --Betty :)

  • If I refrigerated this overnight do you think it would be set up enough to serve the next day? Love your recipes, Betty. I've made so many of them and they are ALL so good! Thank you for sharing them with us. :)

  • we dont have peanut butter in texas so can i just crush up some peanuts?

  • theres a paula deen vid of this pie too, and whats interesting is that she used twice the quantities of the peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar (hers had no milk), and it fit in the same size pie crust. maybe it was denser than this one? but it did also appear lighter in color

  • Wow that was sooooo lovely! I actually went out to buy all the ingredients for this and I will DEFINITELY make this first thing in the morning (it's like...1:41 in the morning now whoops hhaha) Thank you so much for sharing this!

  • AWESOME!

I'M GONNA COOK IT 2NITE, LET'S SEE HOW IT GOES....

  • oh my gosh, that looks SO good!!

  • mmmm... looks really good. thank you :) :P

  • that looks awesome !

  • we dont have whipped topping in england so can i use whip cream ?

  • @darkroge Yes, you may use whipped cream. To make it more like whipped topping, you need to sweeten the whipped cream. You may use sugar or artificial sweetener.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen thank you :) plan to make this on Monday if it all goes well lol

  • i just made this (with organic ingredients of course). This is INCREDIBLE! Thank you again Sweetheart!

  • This has to be one of my favourite desserts that you have done. I made this on Saturday for friends who came round for dinner and they loved it. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

  • *froze it

  • I made this tonight for my bf and his family, they absolutely adored it. I followed your ingredients, and as an added flare, i melted some Baker's chocolate and coated the inside of the pie crust with a thin layer, and freezed it before adding the filling. IT WAS DELIGHTFUL. and OHHHH SOOOO easy to make.

  • hi,

looooooooove this recipee and plan on giving it a try at some point - but i wonder if i can subsitute cool whip for real whipped cream or canned "real" whipped cream?

  • @journey265 Thanks for your lovely comment! It would be great if you whipped some real cream and sweetened it to your taste.

    --Betty :)

  • I made the pie with full fat ingredients and crushed up butterfinger candy on top, and it was soooo good. I'll be making it again soon, need to use up that other half of cream cheese, and can't think of a better way to use it.

  • @2815hkid Your version sounds wonderful! I like the butterfinger idea! Thanks for your lovely comment and great tip!

    --Betty :)

  • hey betty this looks delicious! will this pie taste nice with crunchy peanut butter? xx

  • @EllenBlueberry Hi! It will taste just as good; I don't like the texture as well, but that's just a matter of preference!

    --Betty :)

  • I love pie but I've nvr tried peanut butter pie b4.

  • @mermaidstar7 I hope you enjoy the peanut butter pie!

    --Betty :)

  • What about a peanut butter pie with pecans instead of chocolate?

Some members of my family have given up chocolate for Lent.

  • Pecans sound great with peanut butter! I think that would be a hit!

    --Betty :)

  • I'm thinking about just putting the pecans on top, with a layer of pecan-pie-filling between it and the peanut butter.

    What do you think?

  • I think that sounds wonderful! It will be a great improvement!

    --Betty :)

  • Thanks, Betty!

I'll let you know how it goes.

And thank you for the invitation.

That was very nice of you.

It's not that often that one runs across a frendly person on YouTube to talk with.

Let alone, one who can actually spell. :)

  • @bettyskitchen

I tried it the other night, and it worked!

I substituted cashew butter for the PB, since my mom's allergic to it, and I crushed some pistachios and sprinkled them on top as a garnish.

    It turned out beautifully!

Thanks so much for the recipe!

  • Great idea with the pb cups.

  • hi, is that whipped topping just cream? thanks

  • No, whipped topping is *sweetened* whipped cream. you can make it yourself by whipping some heavy whipping cream, and then sweetening it with the sweetener of your choice! Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • hey Betty. This is probably a silly question, but what do you mean by one half cup? Is that 1/2 a cup or one and a half cups? xxx

  • It means 1/2 cup--one half of a cup. Thanks for asking!

    --Betty :)

  • that looks amazing. yum! xoxo

  • @Ragrog105 Do you live in New England?:)Yes,peanut butter pie is a very southern thing.I had one pie recently and it was just p b,no whipped stuff added to it.

  • Hi Betty,

I did a little research and found there is a Meijer store in Lexington. The Meijer brand makes a FF, sugar free, ice cream, that tastes better than any regular that I've had. I just love it! Hardly any calories!! Maybe you would want to pick some up when you're in Lexington?! Sally ; )

  • That pie looks yummy! Shame you can't buy those ready-made pie crusts in the UK :(. I'm making this for sure...Alex :)
