I suspect a lot of this police presence was because the police anticipated violence: generally, the Klan shows up (a few dozen morons at most), and & several thousand hostile protestors show up who'd like to do them grievous bodily harm. The police probably were trying to avoid a likely riot or even possible deaths in a case such as this. The OWS movement has been a mixed bag in terms of violence, but, if, say, the Tea Party met them at the same time, then you might expect violence.

KKK groups are the darlings of the FBI and Zionists as they allow for greater funding of all kinds of government programs. They help promote passage of hate laws that criminalize any doubtful talk of the shoah business aka holocost.
