lights so not much equipment needs to be upgraded when going a little bigger from a 55. Also if you can afford it get a controller. I still use my aquacontroller jr on 6 gallon nano, it just makes everything easier.
I upgraded from this to the 75. I was really new to the hobby when I had this tank so I could have doen it better so when I moved to the 75 I knew a lot more. If i had to do it again I would srart with the 75, the deeper tank is much better imo because you can set your rock farther back and still have a lot of room in the front of the tank for nice lps on the sand bed. also I made a 29 gallon sump/refugium and id didnt fit under the 55 so I had to use a 10 gallon. i was able to use the same

Do you still have this tank or did you upgrade. I am just starting a 55 gal and was curious what the final result was.
