the poor womans head and hair and such was mangled. when the people got off the murderous ride, a voice said (from loudspeaker) "For your safety, remain seated with your seat belt fastened, keeping your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the bobsled. And please, watch your kids. Thank you!"
it kind of has to be viewed in context of the blue orchids disneys boys and bramah and baines-mes did occasionally steal other peoples ideas-ie not musically but thematically
@DannySullivanRogers It's about a woman that died on the Matterhorn named Dolly Regina Young, She wasn't wearing her seatbelt properly so it came undone and she was thrown from her seat and got hit by another oncoming train and was dragged to her death(blood on the tracks.) I don't think The Fall actually saw this happen, but it was probably all over the news at the time.
@AeroWinds2k9 According to Brix, she and Mark were actually at Disneyland when it happened and MES was all psychic about it. That he was *in tears* after they got off and called the ride evil. Then the woman was killed later that day. If nothing else, pretty "great" story. If you see how I mean "great," of course.
@AeroWinds2k9 yes and there is also reference to a song by the animatronic Country Bear Jamboree at Disneyland, because one of them sings "...there was blood on the saddle, and blood on the ground, and a great big puddle of blood all around...". I can only imagine they no longer play that song.
I laboured on Eurodisney and we debased it everywhere and everyday. Dodging the tiny pupils of Irish earth movers as they over compensated for the winding paths between mountain and castle mixed with the mud and memories of swollen faces of plaster casters sending young uninitiated boys out for sky hooks then weeping for their home county wives when backs were turned...their soft white underbellies exposed diinfranchized English builders slide home and we raved on Diney's grave!

Think the song is based on an accident Mark & Brix witnessed on a visit to Disneyland. A decapitation I think. Grim reality in fantasy land.
