I wish they would make this car a full production car like they did in the 70s. They could make all new body shells so it wouldn't be limited on how many T/As they could get. Start making all new body panels and every thing. And sell them for around 20,000 so peolpe can actually afford them. How COOL would that be. Love the new and the old BANDITs

great looking car, but I am sorry, The only thing that should be in the engine bay of a Pontiac Trans Am, is a Pontiac motor, not some damn chevy motor.

Fuel injected 455 would be so much better.

As much as I would like to agree, in most cases I would. But this is a g-machine. it is going to be cutting corners, that 455 is an elephant. The all aluminum LS7 is also has a dry sump so it wont starve cutting corners. It also probably knocks down 20mpg. If it was an original Bandit T/A 455 all the way!

Bro a pontiac engine is still pretty much a chevy motor!!! its still produced by GM. Just like the 98 and up trans-am WS6 came with a LS1 which also came in the corvette's and camaro's

@socky26 Not true. A Pontiac is NOT a Chevy motor. There are some similarities, but overall they are two different animals and need to be treated differently by the builder. Chevy's aren't cheaper to build anymore and people are starting to see that in the Pontiac community so most of us are building bad ass 400's and 455's that are total beasts.

@bubub56 That's true, but those KRE heads are ridiculously expensive. AS much as I like the idea of having a Pontiac Powerplant in my Pontiac, you reach a point where going LS series makes a lot more sense. LS is the future and can do things traditional engines can't.

The Pontiac plant is the real deal and will put your LS crap right back on the trailer. LS is the future? How bout NOPE! I have had nothing but Pontiac plants in all my TAs (including my current chrome moly caged race chassis / race suspension street legal road racer (withAC!) and things keep getting better! You want an LS plant? Go build a Z-28, aint nothin wrong with that!
