These politicians are doing exactly what Nixon did when he started the drug war 40 years ago. He was totally ignorant of the facts, but he assumed cannabis was bad, so he asked scientists to study and report on it.

When scientists provided the facts, that cannabis has medical benefits and should be decriminalized, Nixon got angry, declared war and raised the DEA army.
