I don't believe I'm an atheist... But I'm also aware that God is an entirely man made concept. I believe there is some all knowing all powerful consciousness that just might be the body and mind of the universe... It's not a bearded, giant invisible man in the sky, there's evidence to suggest the story of Jesus is complete bullshit and I really wish religion didn't exist as it's ignorant, primitive and an insult to human progress.
Nihilism isn't the belief that life has no meaning, it's the belief that life is without OBJECTIVE meaning. A nihilist might believe that his/her life has meaning (e.g. the enjoyment of tasty food might be meaningful to them). However, they do not believe this meaning is derived from some greater objective purpose imposed on it by a "higher" being. I'm sure most atheists would put themselves in that category.
Why are Atheist always so mad? If you don't believe in God then you don't have to. It's not religion that get's people killed. It's angry, power hungry, and bitter people.

I wish it was that easy, If it was I would have done that a long time ago, however it is not. because there is such a thing as heaven and hell, and I know that in my current state I am not deserving of heaven, I do not claim that an afterlife is assured, I say that it exists, not that it is a guarantee. I wish more than anything it was guaranteed, but it isn't, and that is where I find the purpose in our lives, to earn this afterlife.

If an atheist discovers after death that they are wrong, it's too late and they are doomed.
If a theist discovers after death that they are wrong, they won't know it because they then cease to exist.

I am atheist, not anti-theist, and so I am always open to scientific proof that there is a God. Yet I still believe that Christianity and most other religions are a horrible, horrible concept.

I dont think most atheist are trying to disprove religion, i dont even know many atheist who do that.
I do know several atheist who discuss religion, and show that there still does not seem to be a valid reason to accept a deiety, however this does not mean that they are trying to disprove religion. Afterall, religion has yet not proven its case to be true. ^^

@rarintoclown Most atheists don't do that. I spend a few measly hours every week on the computer, and a small percentage of those are engaging in discussion with theists. Most atheists are the same

You see the Illuminati pyramid with the Freemasonic all-seeing eye (aka the "eye of Lucifer") at the top. Underneath, it reads: "novus ordo seclorum," which is latin for a "new secular order." Above the eye, it reads: "annuit coeptis" which means "he favors our undertaking." ... "He" being Lucifer.

(1) You couldn't be more wrong. Look into the secret societies that these same politicians calling for a New World Order are apart of.
