i think this is in A=392 Hz as well (French Baroque Pitch w/c is also argued as the pitch in Baroque Rome) ... i tried playing with them and had to tune my violin down a whole tone/note. :-)

Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year !!! :D

  • @ Ron

Thank you for sharing your experience !

Did the harpsichord tuned to the 392Hz as well?

Wish you a Happy New Year too, 3 more hours to 2010 here!

    Regards from Kaoshiung ( Taiwan),

  • same here .. i think we share the same time table in the Philippines it's Hong Kong Time i think .... :)

the harpsichord should follow the tuning of the rest of the orchestra right ? so i guess it is tuned to A=392 Hz

    Happy New Year !!! :)

  • @Ron

I tried using my metronome confirm the frequency, too bad 392Hz is out of bound as it provide only to 413Hz ( Korg Metronome), however the A open string in Canon sounds a bit lower than the 413Hz A from my metronome, and I believe you are right!

    :D

  • @stradivari08 Try tuning your A to a G relative to A being 440 hz.

  • I remember when I was first introduced to this piece back in 2002 and I was awe with enchanting progression and fluidity and breath-taking passing tones! Although I was only 15... I was effected forever! I love this piece and this interpretation is marvelous!

  • Heavenly.

  • @coolbunnyred: PERFECT way to put it!

  • The beauty of Corelli's music is truly transcendental. He was loved in his own day and even subsequent generations, which was rare in the 18th century.

Corelli must have had a beautiful heart to have written music like this.

  • 5/5 and favorited !!!

Mr. Goodman is one of my faves !!! :)

  • One of the best renditions I've heard. And the stage and setting are like some portrait out of the Renaissance...

  • Great job!
