You wouldn't want to do that trick with a vulcanite stem, but it looks like something I might try with my cheap acrylic stemmed pipe I use for aromatics.
Very interesting video. I will have to try your method. I clean my pipes with 151 rum, but had not considered adding some rum or whiskey to the bottom and out the stem. I have been planning to get some Jack Daniels for cleaning, but will use my Cap'n Morgan and Jack for your smoking trick. Thanks for the idea. I will let you know how it works for me.
