Lol. Seriously. That boss is too easy. Just stand directly below the uvula (the anatomy you have to hit), eat the falling shy guys, and aim directly up (press up before aiming to get the proper cross hairs for immediate release, which reduces the risk of Yoshi stumbling under the weight of the egg). You never even have to worry about the stomach acid.
I commend you for posting a video on this game, though. It rocks. It's even cooler that you posted the original SNES version (magic powd3r).
2:09 and Yoshi's face at 2:15 lead to a frightening conclusion......
