  • wow cool!

    like you.. nice job flower

  • lol stuoid question, but how do you round edges on the little videos?:D

  • there are a few different ways to do it, especially now depending on what after effects you have. but I think at the time i was just using a rounded square mask from illustrator on each one (make one and duplicate it and replace)

now with the new Shape Tool, you can control how rounded the corners are, and use that layer as a matte.

not a stupid question, though. it's not as easy as it should be.

  • okay, im using cs3, but your right, it should be easy..dont have illustrator ..

  • what song did u use

  • just a song i wrote for this reel

  • very good! Nice work 5*!

  • dope stuff!! :) do you know wher i can get adobe after effects?? ive got a big intrest seeing everyones vids and i love photo shop so yeah.

  • great ! What is that song? thanks

  • something i wrote myself for the reel, actually. thanks for the interest.

  • 5 stars man, this was really cool

  • How did you get the detailed 3d shapes? I don't understand Adobe After Effects 3d wise. Is there a way of drawing in 3d or do you just have to link different screens with different texture so your limited to cubes?

    Please help this amateur?

  • you can make 3d shapes in ae and pro-compose them, so they act as 3d objects, i think thats what this guy has done here too? not sure tho,

  • yeah, the 3d shapes are really 2D objects in 3D space. so without a plug in, you can't do a ball. but cubes are easy. here what i'm doing is just rounding off the rectangle for the screen, and then moving the screens and/or the camera around.

  • I mean the animations not the title screen, the robots?

  • ah, those are all hand drawn elements that i arranged in 3d space. it's a matter of having the anchor points in the right place. it's kind of not what after effects is meant for, so it can get buggy. but just get good with the camera tool and then it's trial and error

  • Ah cool =) thanks

  • Could you make your own desktop for windows with Adobe After Effects?.

  • if you mean wallpaper, yes. any frame can be exported as a jpeg, etc.

if you mean something else, no.

  • very cool! Thanks for subscribing to The Musecast!
