This game has a better story mode. But Rome Total War I think was a lot funner. And for real nerds or gamers can you tell me why my comp would be running slow I have really fast computer with a lot of memory left and I make sure all my other stuff is turned off before I start.

it's just more demanding. there just more detail in everything, compared to RTW. that's what i think. guess the only way to get over it, is to sacrifice on unit/terrain/and building detail. that should cut down on the lag.

I've tried that I have it to the lowest detailes and still slow as hell. I just make a huge army now and auto resolve so I win.

Same thing here. My guess is that it isn't your video card but the amount of RAM you have. If you're running Vista, then you'll need 2GB.

you need a pretty big amount of RAM (Random Acces Memory) like 2gb RAM or more and you need a descent video card like a Nvidia GeForce 8600GT

medieval has a lot more you can do in campaign, like more diplomatic options, religion and all that. the gfx are better ofc.

the music in rome was better imo, they're both great games, but i wouldn't buy both at the same time, because ure gonna get carried away by one of them and the other one is gonna be left to rot :D

imo, get medieval 2 if you have a decent PC.

not much, it is a nice feature though, if u like to play the campaign veryvery long xD, you can bring factions to its knees by "poisoning" heir religion and have them riot and all.

The only thing with religion that really matters is public order issues. There is one advantage to having a multi religion province though. Diplomats from the region will have better traits from less "racism" if you will.

But you understand what I'm going at. It isn't racism (though it can be seeing as the Spanish Christians were white and the muslims were Arab. Its still another form of prejudice, I just fucked my vocabulary up.

The final point still reguards that a city with a majority religion different from your national religion is likely to rebel.

Yeah it does; you can call a crusade against an enemy faction. That automatically gets like 6 mo factions on ur side so yeah

Also the AI for RTW can be really stupid.

All I do is put like 2 weak units up front then the enemy charges into the mass and you just flank them. I actually counted it and I won 87% of my battles as Germania in that way.

It's also totally biased for the Romans while in MTW2 everyone pretty much has an equal chance. For example the Brits of RTW it's almost impossible to win the long campaign.
