This is Four Directions (the drum group) singing a Duck and Dive (song). It is held in respect as a war dance for men's traditional, roundbustle and prairie chicken dancers only. Story goes it was made in commemoration of the Battle of Big Hole, which took place near present day Dillon, Montana on August 9 and 10, 1877. There is an ongoing argument that is was also copied from the Arrow Song, however.
Also, in the Pacific Northwest there are quite a few drums who do allow women to sit in.
this is not the four directions song, just a traditional song... I wouldnt want people to get confused, four directions song is a very special song to pray for help, not ment to be singed on a powwow. no ofense to the one who put this up, il post the 4 directions song as an answer

@thapplzchamp-It's true that some tribes traditionally do not let girls sing at the drum, but as I recall we also weren't allowed to sweat, dance, fight, hunt, and chose who we marry. When Natives were given back the right to practice there religions it was decided by elders, that women would be allowed to join them in ceremonies and circles they were not allowed to before because we suffered just as much as the men, that included drumming circles.
hey this is my family=)!
