The concept of a Jetpack is not quite as remote as you may think. Jetpacks were seriously researched during the 40's and 50's. Weight, size and range issues are what kept them out of production. If you think about it, a Jetpack Corps would efectively make Paratroopers obsolete.

They would have to create some sort of fictional superfuel so that the packs would be travel great distances without lugging GIGANTIC fuel tanks, and even then, they would probably succumb to flack and would not offer a sufficient shooting platform for weapons of the time. Soldiers in Jetpacks would be big floating targets for the Germans. Even if they did work...they wouldn't work.
Who said it would be practical? It was certifiably possible.
About the most reasonable application I can see is as something of a 'controlled parachute'. But, then again, this does put quite a bit of fantasy into it's work. I don't remember any research into Giant Robots.

This being Alternate History, the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces may have not entered the conflict. Or maybe they do not even exist at all in the form we knew them as...Hell, if Admiral Perry never went to Japan or other forgen influences, they might still be in some form of Feudal Rule.

Shermans are in the game if I'm right, as I have the demo and I recall the "Calliope Sherman" (Sherman with a rocket pack mounted on the top) being in it.
use you're eys! there IS a Sherman in the movie, in the scene where the american guy with the M-79 grenade launcher is moving forward with a tank (you can only see the trakcs and buddy, not the turret), that tank is an M4 Sherman!
Probably because this being a time after WW2, the Sherman has been surpassed by superior tank designs.
Either that, or they simply were not in the trailers I used. Seeing as how other classic but 'Inferior' designs such as the T-34/85 and Tiger 1 are used.

A real gyp, I know. Oh well. There is always room for Expansion Packs and Sequels.
