  • man, imagine if we spent as much time feeding the hungry and clothing the naked as we did arguing over theology.

  • I'm wanting to become a Christian but another Christian on youtube said to keep away from the churches because they are corrupt and they twist God's word. They want to be apart of the system, not the Kingdom of God. They only tell people what they want to hear and care about money and he said that it's full of sinful hypocrites and that Jesus doesn't dwell in buildings made by men, he only dwells inside of us when we are good and that a relationship with Jesus can only save us.

  • @piaybackjunkie17 He/she is right in some respects. However, there are still many good churches out there and fellowship is really vital. Jesus said where 2 or 3 are gathered in His name He is in the midst (Matt. 18:20) and the writer of Hebrews says that we are not to forsake the gathering of ourselves together (Heb. 10:25).

  • @piaybackjunkie17 I would suggest setting aside a couple of months visiting local Christian churches. An ideal church will be having regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, preaching out of the Bible, and be warm and welcoming. I will also end you a PM re. becoming a Christian.

  • "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you." - Matthew 24:4

    Many are sadly deceived.

  • And the second source is:news.yahoo.com/father-son-ousted-trinity-bible-translations-003300519.html

  • No offence taken by this video, you made some good, well observed points! I am prayerfully considering what you have said esp with how Christians use the internet. Have discussed some points with my husband and we have decided to speak to others about doing a bible study group on a regular basis. We dont have a TV always considered it Visual Valium! Will share this video. God Bless.

  • These heresies quickly took over ALL the churches/seminaries in the USA, with few small exceptions. Less than a year ago, my wife and I reluctantly confronted leadership at our church for allowing another heresy related to this to be taught (Contemplative Spirituality). Fellow Christians there that I THOUGHT were mature in the faith called us evil and divisive. The reason why we attended there was because they USED to speak AGAINST all these heresies! SPIRITUAL COMPROMISE CAN GROW SO FAST!

  • Amen Shaz...I am so glad you are one of the few who speaks out against these guys. Jubliee Church in Grantham, you need to stamp out this "Fire spirit" thing. Joyce Meyer..Jesus did not go to hell and your salavation does not depend on u believing this. Baptised churches...you should be teaching about Gods plans for Israel, they need to hear it! I think Jacob Phrash has it spot on....."If your doctrine is wrong...you are wrong" I think small home groups are the way to go (my opinioun)

  • @tickpenwa Interesting post. Thanks.

  • 7- Christ is exclusive. Many think there is another way but all of these lead only to destruction. Jesus asks each of us: Who do you say that I am?

8- Will God eventually save everyone.... I guess you mean after death??? This is an interesting question and I do not know. It would be nice definitely. A subject for study.

9- I think church discpline should start with the leaders who are predators being ousted from their positions, that is the first things that need to happen. Make church safe.

  • 5-It is the Holy Spirit that convicts the worl of sin... not us. If we concentrate on being kind and sharing with others then the Holy Spirit will work through us to do as God wills in others' lives. It is important to listen to what God is leading us to share or not to. I believe the only "issue" that is paramount to discuss with those still in the kingdom of darkeness is salvation.

6-Hell. What a shame that those who just want fire-insurance will miss out on knowing God on this Earth. (c...)

  • There is so much sin in the church --with the church leaders who are predators-- I personally believe that God is more concerned with the salvation of any andrognous persons more than which sexual orientation they ultimately grow up into. Salvation is the main issue first and foremost. After salvation, allow God to grow each one up as God is the author and finisher of our faith. Ro 3:23. And God is not willing that any should perish.

    (c..)

  • 4-Ro 2 and other scriptures pretty clear. i think it is better to error on the side of mercy rather than judgment because in some cases only God is able to judge this --because of pollution in the environment and especially radiation... many people (zagoates) never fully develop into totally male or female and there are some who are both sexes within the same body and so this is where we must not judge but have aquire knowledge> understanding> wisdom in having extreme mercy for these ones. (c..)

  • In answer to the q's:

1-Doctrine on salvation-not negotiable. Customs, culture, society; time place era relative.

2-Jesus Christ is Lamb of Glory, God, Phil 2:5-11, In salvation there is none other.

3-Worship comes naturally in relationship as God reveals Who God is. It is our natural response and not the other way around. I think how one worships changes as one grows up in Christ.

    (con't)

  • As you were going through the questions --the parable of the 10 ten virgins came to mind.

Other than the obvious truths within -Q-How was it that in the very last moments these 5 foolish ones were even able to go and "buy" oil ? Logos v's rhema, the Bible being a "layered" revealing -1Cor 2:10-12, depends on one's depth of intimacy with The Lord. Every decision being based on one question --the one Jesus asked his disciples...Who do you say I am?

Will you become one with Christ or Satan? Choose

  • Some of these women are strong Christians and love Jesus and believe in Him as God as well. (Many I have met have been abused as young children- men and woman) IN the US.. there is a law I believe in California-I'll have to look for it for you- but they want to start in Kindergarten and have a homosexual curriculum for the school..starting in Kindergarten!

  • So many (preachers) are changing. There are Some criticizing them..for changing their messages. "prosperity" "word of faith" different categories being criticized! Any thought on those? (I totally Agree with Jesus is the only Way.!!) SAme-sex marriage..I know what the right thing to say is..and I have friends who have had "civil unions and have one partner...I don't know what to think...

  • (cont)The popes have :Even JP2nd,[John Paul the second] and Pope Benedict] have talked with Muslim leaders wanting Catholics still being able to enter Jerusalem. "WHEN' Palestine becomes a state- the popes, in order to be in Jerusalem, had to agree Not to call Jesus the Son of God![the Muslims like the Catholic traditions of Mary apparitions! --Not saying Jesus is the Son of God!? wow

  • @lookingup82 where did you hear that?

  • @XSC3 /blogs.reuters.com/faithworld/2009/05/14/pope-benedict-slowly-learns-how-to-dialogue-with-muslims/ here's part--I need to find the exact agreement in print.

  • (cont)For example, Fr. Roucou felt that Benedict’s speech at the Dome of the Rock was “a bit too philosophical” because it didn’t have anything specifically Christian in it. “It’s too bad in the speeches to the Muslims that there were no references to Jesus and the Gospels,” he said. “It’s all about the Creator God. That’s fine — I don’t want to get the Gospels in there at any price. But in his speeches to Jews, Benedict quoted the Psalms.” (about 5th paragraph)

  • @lookingup82 Pope Benedict has written entire libraries about Jesus, and he's certainly not looking to become Muslim. Popes usually speak in diplomatic language. remember the flack he got for quoting the harsh words of an Emperor against Muhammad. Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet, and so I'd be surprised if they'd be offended if Jesus was mentioned in a speech by the leader of the world's ancient Christians.

  • @lookingup82 thanks for the link. sadly articles about the pope in the west are typically fraught with difficulties. I would want to read the Pope's ACTUAL SPEECH (which should be posted on the holy see's website at vatican(.)va) to see what was actually said, not just some reporters second or third hand interpretation of it.

  • @XSC3 A controversy is brewing over three reputable Christian organizations, which are based in North America, whose efforts have ousted the words "Father" and "Son" from new Bibles. Wycliffe Bible Translators, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) and Frontiers are under fire for "producing Bibles that remove "Father," "Son" and "Son of God" because these terms are offensive to Muslims."

  • @lookingup82 That's awful!

  • @lookingup82 I'd like to see some more information about this "controversy." I'm immediately skeptical of such a claim. for starters, why would this be done to placate Muslims? Muslims don't accept the Bible in the first place, and would have far bigger problems with it than the terms used to refer to the persons of the Trinity. If what you say is true (about the bible translations) it's far more likely it was done by liberal Christians who are offended by the divine "masculine"

  • @lookingup82 Muslims refer to Allah as "He" after all. if they were trying to placate Muslims they'd need to do a lot more to the bible than change the phrase "Son of God." Muslims reject the idea of Jesus dying, for example. that's a big one. in their view he was never crucified. a lot of the things Jesus said would offend them as well. so I highly doubt this was done as you say. I'd like to see more proof first if you don't mind.

  • @lookingup82 use of "inclusive language" in bible translations has always been controversial. I'm simply skeptical of the claim that this was done to appease "Muslims."

  • I am seeing some scary stuff as well.Rick Warren is leaning STRONGLY towards New Age. Also, the Catholic church (I was raised Catholic- left for a spiritually/doctrinally sound church!

  • Excellent video! Thank you for posting. I've read that book by Roger Oakland, and it's very good. Another book I've read & recommend is by Ray Yungen called "A Time of Departing."

  • @Shazoolo I really like mark driscoll, I think he's Biblicaly sound. I haven't read his bits on marriage, but I'm not married so I have no need too.

  • @k12rising read them before you need to

  • #1. The Bible is truth. #2 Christ is the way. #3 again, Bible is truth. #4 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman(leviticus18:22) . #5 all need christ in there heart. #6 I love them but again, all need christ in there heart. #7 Hell is real and really scary. #8 Bible is truth, but people don't always speak truth. Just so you know I question every one so I have to ask, whats wrong with yoga, Its a form of stretching and to stay in shape.

  • What we are seeing in the church.

    A) The first generation taught it.

    B) The second generation does not teach it but assumes it.

    C) The third generation will question it.

  • Liberal churches share the Satanic doctrine of "bow down and worship me, and I'll give you the kingdoms of the world."

    Or in other words,

"act like the world and you'll save it."

  • I have to agree shaz, whilst it's likely we disagree on the hell issue (I'm a conditionalist). I do see a big dose of liberalism in the church today. A kind of cowardess exists in the modern church that just mods and smiles. I think this problem started when church numbers started dwindling, so many churches started to compromise, they stopped warning people to flee from the wrath and instead said embrace Jesus and bring him into your heart and your life will be better. Then the pulpit vanished.

  • That's scary that this video got some dislikes.

Thanks for the good warning Shaz.

  • Great video.100% agree.Thanks

  • Very very good video Shazoolo. This is a subject that the spirit of God has put heavily upon my heart recently, and has caused me as well to sound the alarm. Many Churches are falling victim to it. It comes into a church in a subtle ways or under the guise of making Church more interesting for the youth, but eventually morphs into something very ugly.

  • @earnestlyseeking This isn't about extremes. You're ignoring the bigger picture. It's about what is likely to be true and what is likely to be false. If you think you have "big issues" figured out, then you're limiting your options. If you already know the answer then the search is over. That is the definition of a closed mind. You assume if the Bible is false, all gods must be false. The Bible IS your God. I just see your God as one of many other unjustified theistic claims.

  • i think the emergent church movement is simply a front for catholicism. the jesuits have probably started many false religions through the ages, as part of their social engineering.

  • @earnestlyseeking As an atheist, I can only speak for myself. Sharing beliefs isn't the problem. The irony comes when certain beliefs are presented as dogma without justification. Scientists don't think they are 100% right. That's silly. Such a mentality is the antithesis of the scientific method. Even Dawkins outlines the possibility to be mistaken in the same book you just cited -- the God Delusion. But in most religious circles, people won't even entertain the idea they are wrong.

  • @anzwertree Why do we keep hearing that global warming is "settled science" then?

Anyway, it's not that religious never think they are wrong, just the opposite. That's why it's important to adhere to the Bible and not go making up your own scripture or twisting it to satisfy popular, secular opinions, which is I think the point of this video.

  • @KnightOwl2006 Making up your own scripture? Is that what you think science is?

  • @anzwertree Trying reading more carefully.

Those were two separate topics I was addressing. I was clearly referring to churches making up their own scriptures and had moved on from the previous sentence regarding science.

  • @KnightOwl2006 Okay, so do you care to explain what your objection actually is?

  • @anzwertree What does Dawkins admit to possibly being wrong about? As far as I know, in the areas (Evolutionary Biology?) where he is an expert, he is relatively relaxed about ideas having to be radically re-thought, but in areas he appears to know very little about (religion, ethics, philosophy) he is unyielding, narrow, dogmatic, aggressive, and - yes - even fundamentalistic. But do I detect from your use of the words "Even Dawkins" that you are not a fan of his anyway?

  • @The1hope4all Sure, I like Dawkins, but that doesn't mean I agree with everything he says. In fact, I respect him more because I disagree. Same goes for Stephen Hawking. I like them, but don't always agree with them. Regardless though, in the God Delusion, Dawkins lists himself as a 6.9 on a scale of 1 to 7, with 7 being absolutely sure there is no God and 1 being absolutely sure there is a God. I would rank myself around the same -- 6.5ish. Given justification, I'll change my beliefs.

  • @anzwertree Well, OK, we'll "watch this space" as the saying goes.

  • @The1hope4all What do you mean?

  • @anzwertree Do you not have the expression "watch this space" in the States? It's just a way of saying "Stay tuned for any further developments"

  • @The1hope4all Nope, I never heard that before until now. Maybe because I'm in the south? Watch the space. I'll definitely use that next time I get a chance, though

  • The churches seem to be more interested in following any fashionable social trend than teaching scripture they don't think will be popular. The church of whatever floats your boat.

  • The new age movemnt is Theosophical. This means in reality it is a Luciferian doctrine. Well that is what I have found out. We already have blatant apostacy and idol worship going on in the RC church and it is infecting the rest of Christianity at the moment as well. Research, study, learn and pray. Agenda 21 courtesy of the UN is behind a lot of this to.. just a nice search point for you to use.

  • God Bless brother! Keep seeking truth!

  • Law vs. Grace... Invest a few hours here and find the freedom Christ promised all believers.

    gcaarchive . com/lawvsgrace . shtml

  • Does anyone else find it ironic how Christians that are so concerned with the deception of others rarely ever consider the possibility of themselves having already been deceived? It's always the other guys that are mistaken. It's like billions of people around the world with a lottery ticket, and everyone KNOWS they're the winner.

  • Amen

  • This is a huge problem in my denomination. The Bible is under-emphasized, sometimes completely ignored. In my opinion, that's why so many church-goers have lost interest: they don't understand Christianity, they aren't trained in interpreting their own holy book, they're tired of being told what to do without any authority backing it up.

  • It is a sneak attack against Christianity in many ways. The devil is NOT a loud, raging, storming torrent of evil and wickedness. On the contrary, the devil is sneaky, subtle. The devil knows scriptures better than any man and will appeal to his sense of goodness to manipulate him/her to do his evil bidding.

  • Good stuff.

  • You will never hear me give a warning against people who LOVE JESUS.

Do you really think Jesus is such a frigid heartless twit as to CARE whether our mere THINKING about Him is totally in line?

He cares only whether we LOVE Him. And what do YOU know about Christianity if you can't even get that basic much right?

But still I know you love Jesus. So although I might rebuke you for being confused and self-righteous, I'll not condemn you or warn anyone against you.

  • Great video brother - never stop being a watchman!!!

  • Good video

  • And based on my answers to your questions, my church would be far from new age. The Divine liturgy responds to a good portion of what you asked, and so do the canons of the church as well as general consensus of the Bishops. Although I doubt we would see eye to eye on many issues.

  • Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

This is an area that I have been looking into very recently, with the likes of Rob Bell. I can totally understand the attraction for those that are not born again, but may have been brought up in a church.

Really sad to watch people flocking to this other gospel (Galatians 1:6-8)

  • This is mainly a problem for those in the protestant realm of Christianity from what i've noticed. But ultimately I think the emergent church is the perfect outcome of the principle Martin Luther invoked at the Diet of worms, that the conscionce is ultimately what is to be followed, even if it is wrong. I think these liberals would benefit from reading the works of the early fathers along with scripture, especially those whom defended the trinity and idea of the Church.
