@beeroosterm Soybeans are 90% GMO in terms of US harvest. This is much higher than other mass produced US grown grains right now...but corn continues to edge higher. Also, in the US there is no requirement to label GMO foods even though there should be. Please write your congressperson - I wrote mine. We deserve to know what they're altering.
@rachiti I tend to agree. I worry about inserting foreign genes into organisms that would not otherwise have evolved naturally to contain them. That said, I also agree with TheBeastMode187 that the idea of pancakes without butter are absurd. As far as I am concerned, pancakes exist primarily to act as a matrix for the butter I love so much. That they are such a delicious matrix makes me happy beyond compare...
@beeroosterm For lactose-intolerant and vegan though, it makes sense. I use spray-able vegetable oil for the pan when I don't have dairy available...I don't really notice since I slather mine with jam.
@rachiti Vegans drive me to insanity. I've had two former girlfriends who were vegans and they were bloody intolerable. Every meal was a damned inconvenience and eating out was impossible (at a restaurant I wanted to try). I remain firmly convinced that veganism/vegetarianism is a cry for help; I advise any sane man/woman to get his/her love from someone else. And lactose intolerance is exceedingly rare...that's where the bullshit starts...
Check out my channel to really learn how to make Vegan Pancakes.

Why didn't you specify non-GMO for all the other ingredients? Politically correct pancakes - that's a new one for me.
